A very moving and surreal place . A must visit no matter what your religion. Not only the reclining Buddha but also the row of vases containing ashes

A very impressive reclining Buddha within the main temple building. Plenty to observe and easy to get around despite the busy crowds. Worth a visit and combine with the Burmese temple across the road.

The biggest reclining buddha in Penang. An attraction point & crowded with tourists everyday. Limited parking

Pleasantly surprised how easy it was to view this temple & Buddha. We went during high season and it was easy to get in, view and take photos.

Third largest Buddha in Thailan although reclining. Would be great to visit but the whole compound is massive and needs exploring but sadly did not have time so will revisit in the future. The place has some beautiful structures and statues.

A nice temple, it's peaceful to walk around the sleeping Buddha and look at the many Buddhas and paintings.

The biggest reclining Buddha in Penang. The wat is clean and well kept. Although it is not as big as the reclining Buddha in Thailand nevertheless it is worth visiting.

The temple is in the typical Thai pagoda style with golden roof. There is main statue of reclining Buddha inside. We can buy candle inside. May other idols of Buddha are also there. Two serpents/dragons on both side on the entry.

This temple complex is amazing, very ornate and well worth visiting in Penang. Make sure you have your camera handy and that you go to the temples on both sides of the road. The reclining Buchanan is very large and really beautiful

Sorry for the delay traveling in Thailand at the moment - No the free bus does not go as far out from the town Center - There is a paid for Hop on Hop off open bus tour that takes in this site (worth the visit by the way)
