A must see when in George Town. Absolutely amazing place. Free entry which is very rare for anywhere these days. Lovely ambiance and fantastic photo opportunities.

We popped in to have a look at this site is near our hotel. It was worth it. The Buddha certainly is huge, but what was really interesting was the plaques of those whose ashes are interned at the site and the smaller Buddha statues...More

We visited the reclining Buddha this morning. Really great, although the Chinese people spoil it for others. They have no manners at all.

Worth a visit but just beware of shoes theft (that’s what was written on the main temple hall entrance). It will enlighten you another prospective of Chinese Thai culture.

Golden dragons with gems glitter at the front and guard a very relaxed statue of Buddha reclining in gold. The lady at the front was fiercely protective and rightly reprimanded my friends for their hats. This is a must see temple in the world.

This has a large reclining Buddha which is massive. You can light candles there by paying a nominal amount. The dragons at the entrance of the temple are beautiful too. Both the Buddha and the dragons are challenging to fit in a photo frame because...More

This is a very colourful Buddhist temple with a large chedi and reclining Buddha set in its own pavilion unfortunately closed. Nagas and chinthe lions are covered in a mosaic of different coloured glass and there are several small pavilions with more Buddha images.

The temple architecture is beautiful. The colourful statues are made of glass pieces which gives light reflection of a hot sunny day. There is a hugh reclining Buddha. Is worth visiting.

This temple is definitely worth a visit. The brightly coloured dragons at the entrance & the colourful decorations are spectacular. You must remove your shoes to go into the temple & I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful coloured tiles you walk on. The reclining...More

Sorry for the delay traveling in Thailand at the moment - No the free bus does not go as far out from the town Center - There is a paid for Hop on Hop off open bus tour that takes in this site (worth the visit by the way)
