From baskets to school canes - everything rattan!

Traditional rattan work is fast dying out in Malaysia, so it's good to support the few remaining shops there are. This one on Penang Road - 10 minutes walk from Georgetown hotels, has a better selection than most as my photo shows. Chairs, baskets, bird cages and a frightening selection of punishment canes.
