We hiked/climbed this trail after a period of persistent rain, so the ground as well as the ropes you need at the particularly steep parts were very muddy and slippery. Even if it were completely dry (which I'm not sure it ever is) it would...More

Easy to get to the start of the trail - we took a taxi from Tanah Rata to the start of the path just North of Brinchang. After a short walk along the path it is difficult to find the actual trail - there is...More

Even getting onto this trail is a challenge, due to subsidence of the path, you have to negotiate a stream, and climb up onto the path. This is a very beautiful climb up the mountain. It's only 3 km but it took us 3 hours....More

The information about the trails and if you can (or is allowed to) go on your own, need a personal guide or if the trail is closed is very shifting and it is nearly impossible to get good advice before heading to one of the...More

Trail open in late January. Moderate intensity but difficult technicality. Took about 2hrs up, very enjoyable hike, challenging at times having to scramble at parts, very muddy, nice views and flora throughout. The start was confusing but you go around the water station and cross...More

I did this walk when I was 10, The colours, smells, sounds, feelings of the jungle have to be experienced before you die. The colours on the numerous butterflies are truly incredible, and the whooping of the apes among the trees is spiritual, the jungle...More

This review is on our experience in the highlands. We did not go on any trails or into the jungle because it was raining so hard. Not really anything much to do up there but the scenery is stunning. The 58 km from the highway...More

This trail we like the most. Hiking, crawling underneath fallen trees, climbing with a rope along roots and stones was such a fun and you get a beautiful view at the top! Make sure you take enough water with you sometimes it gets steep.

The beginning of the trail is quite easy, and it is becoming more and more difficult while you continue. The 700 last meters are the most difficult, you have to help yourself with your hands a lot. A lot of mud when it is raining....More

No. You just take a taxi to the start of the hike. It is off the main road. From there it's fairly well sign posted. No one worries about grids on these hikes.
