Maybe it is a legacy of the MCO but this place felt run down and deserted. The security staff on the entrance were difficult insisting that we used a QR Code via Facebook rather than the MySejahtera QR codes that were available just a couple of metres past the entrance. Strangely enough Facebook detected suspicious activity on my account within seconds of scanning!

Inside the effects of MCO mean lots of ugly tape blocking off children's play areas and the Zon Duty Free shop appeared to be under renovation. After about 1700 the place becomes a ghost town.

The website is hopelessly out of date as well.

One bonus was that the Berjaya hotel will transport you up to the village in the electric buggys. Sadly there didn't seem to be a return run.

Visit this place if you're going on the cable cars. If not then don't bother.

Definitely one awesome place to stop by if you are visiting Langkawi. I was on Solo Trip and I went on a Sunday morning at 9am and stay untill 11am+ . Was shock when I saw the long queues after I step out at 1120am. Lucky I came early. I'm in fact I'm very scared of heights but I manage to take the sky cable alone. Early in the morning at 915am, was not so busy so they allowed me to take sky cable alone. In fact, I really enjoyed it and this is something that I never expect myself to do it.

The Sky Bridge really look awesome but because of the height I got so scare.I saw many beautiful locks for couples. It looked like Korea lover lock.I paid 85 RM but it doesn't include everything and we needs to buy another ticket if we want to go to the SkyBridge. There are many shops, restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops etc around and you can walk for hours.
I also visited the 3D art auditorium really awesome place.

There were a lot of photograph session along the way to Sky Cable and Sky Bridge . This Solo Trip really let me gain alot. The experience were great and I can see beautiful sky, forest, waterfalls and very nice cooling view.
It is a whole day trip on this spot and it was really awesome.

Even allowing for the fact that it was a religious holiday and that we were prepared for some shops to be closed the "village"was very disappointing. Generally run down and many places shut and empty. Others simply selling cheap tourist trinkets and poor quality clothes. Certainly not the must see attraction touted on tourism web sites.

Looks like it could have been nice in its heyday but sadly it’s quite run down now. Many places to eat and others shops are closed or out if many things in the menu. Very touristy and trash in the pond, walkways, etc. you must go here to catch the cable car and bridge…which I highly recommend both.

A sad place really. Cheap, trashy, plastic, litter, junk. Full of souvenir shops and convenience stores. Not recommended. However, If you want to take the Skycab to the top you have to go here, because this is where it starts. And that I do recommend! Nice experience!

We enjoyed walking around this village before accessing the skycab and sky bridge. Lots of little souvenir shops, a food court, restaurants...
There are plenty of places to take nice photos too.

The Oriental Village has changed a lot over the years. It was a cheap fun place to visit, what with the cable car as the main attraction. But every time we go back it has changed. Now it is getting to tacky with poor shopping. They have taken away the duty free shop too. Which was a pain as we had to get a taxi back past the Airport to Pentai Cenang. There is a 3D interactive are gallery and a mini zoo. There are a lot of small food outlets at the start also

A short walk from the Berjaya complex the village has a number of shops and restaurants to explore. It is also the location for getting the cable car (SkyCab) to the Sky bridge. This is a trip worth taking as long as you dont mind heights. Fantastic views across the whole peninsular. Its worth wearing sensible shoes to navigate the path to the bridge.

In connection with Skycab we also went to the Oriental Village. There is one shop after the other. Many were empty and the ones that were open almost all sold the same things. You could buy a few souvenirs. It's all very touristy. We liked the 3D museum the best. You can take great photos here!

The food court also had something to suit every taste.
