A hidden gem in Langkawi
Jun 2020
One of the worth visiting attractions in Langkawi. You can see many interesting items such as copper pieces, crystal, porcelain, as well as weapons, musical instruments, Islamic art and paintings are displayed at this place. Quite a nice place for those who are visiting here for the first time.

Good but needs better Upkeep.
Jan 2021
Tickets are RM5 for MyKad holders and senior tickets are available at RM3. The gallery has different gifts given to Tun Dr. Mahathir during his tenure from various nations. Its a good walk down memory lane for those that grew up during his time in power. Its great to see memorabilia from South American countries, Asean countries and also beautiful paintings. I would say the Horse Cart from Pakistan, the Prince Charming from Venezuela and Quran Box made of Pearls from Yasser Arafat stood out the most to me. It reminded me of Malaysia in her glory days when we were known as the SEA Tiger. When we there, the air-cond wasn't working so it was hot. The light were also not fully turned on making it difficult to read the writings. The staff at the counter was rude and had a sour-face while we were purchasing our tickets. The security guard was helpful, she guided us on how to view the gallery in flow. Overall, its a good place to escape the heat and shouldn't take more than 1 hour to visit.

Presidents gifts
Mar 2020
Cheap to get in. Interesting to see all the gifts lots of glass, silver etc and a Sauber formula one car. Disappointing that exhibit cases are dusty, silver etc needs cleaning, insects had attacked some of the “soft” exhibits such a shame. The gifts are very expensive.ive I would imagine and they need to be preserved properly.

A gallery full of gifts
Dec 2019 • Family
This place tickets cost RM 5 for adult and RM 2 for child (mykad holder). You may spend half day here if you are a fan of Tun Mahathir. Nothing much here, only lots of souvenir given by other country to Tun Mahathir for past 30 years. In overall you can still pay a visit here if you have got nothing much to do in Langkawi island.

A Hidden Diamond of Langkawi
Nov 2019
Very few tourists visiting Langkawi know about this place. You need to take a taxi or charter a car to come to this hidden diamond of Langkawi.

All the beautiful collections of Dr. Mahatir, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, are on display in the 3 excellent display halls. The architecture of these 3 halls is very distinctive.

What an amazing collection on display
Aug 2019 • Family
You could spend hours wandering through the gallery looking at the wonderful pieces on display. What an honour it was to view all the amazing gifts and pieces that the Prime Minister of Malaysia has received over the years. It is an excellent collection and you can view treasures from all over the world. We went with my teenage children and folks from Australia and they really enjoyed it.
Sadly like many tourist places in Malaysia there is a foreigners entrance fee to pay even though it isn't much, however it would be nice if both Malaysian and foreigners all paid the same entrance fees at tourist spots in Malaysia.

Only if you have time to kill
Jun 2019 • Family
We had time to kill and we were nearby. The kid wasn’t feeling well, otherwise we would have rather gone to the durian Perangin waterfall. The gallery is very big but totally no one else was around. There were many pieces of artifacts and presents given to PM mahathir but I suppose most of these don’t mean very much to him personally, hence best displayed in a gallery like this. From Japan, Africa, etc etc. The only interesting ones are those with his younger face imprinted eg a vase! The aircon wasn’t working in areas, that’s where you teach your kids that hot air rises. The domes are quite exquisite I must say. Even the F1 racing car and other car models failed to lift their interest. We spent less than an hour there and left.

Interesting Displays
Apr 2019 • Family
It was interesting to see all the gifts given to the Prime Minister on display for all the public to appreciate. This is quite an art gallery. You could easily spend 1-2 hours here, depending on your group - less time with kids, more time with adults.
