It was a birthday present from my husband for me. He booked the 2-hour private ride through the jungle, mountains, beach and lighthouse. It was incredibly beautiful. My horse, a highly trained chestnut mare with light mane and tail, went with me willingly and trustingly over hill and dale. The guide was very well trained, friendly, helpful and told me a lot of interesting things about Langkawi. He took countless pictures and videos of me and this great horse. The horses in this stable are doing really well. Great training, horses and hooves in great condition. The stable is clean and makes a neat impression.

Booked a 2 hour forest/beach ride and simply amazing from start to finish. Very lucky as only me and the guide (Mahathir) who handily spoke perfect English. I checked out the stables first and the horses looked well cared for and saw staff mucking out and grooming them. Horse responded well and they matched well to the rider -just be honest with your riding capabilities. Fantastic canters along the beach and an added bonus of Mahathir taking videos and air dropping them later to my phone.

We can highly recommend the Island Horses. The people are very friendly, communication via Whats App was easy and uncomplicated, and all my questions were answered in advance. My daughter (11 years old, has been riding for 6 years) and I (unexperienced) had booked the one-hour Jungle and Beach Ride. While I was guided on the horse, my daughter was allowed to ride on her own.

Very professionally run, horses are very well looked after and the stables are immaculate. The staff are so helpful and very pleasant, nothing is too much , the ride itself was the best experience I've had upto now. The beaches are stunning, the forest was cool and we also went to the mountain and marina lighthouse so very versatile. It was so good I booked another ride a few days later. I rode a horse called Bobby who was a very easy ride , nice controlled canter down the beach , he was a dream. Would recommend island horses from a complete beginner to experienced riders they cater for all.

This is not the first time that I was here. My experience with Island Horses went way back to about 10 years ago. Very professionally managed, you can see the entire team (they're family!) are in the business whole-heartedly. Rest assured that they will get you a suitable horse for the lessons or the ride. But riders must be honest with riding skills too and do not overstate. It is ok if you are not a rider at all. The trainers/handlers are very patient and friendly. And they take good pictures and videos too. Now that's a huge bonus. The place has covered arena, toilets/shower rooms. No issue with telco mobile coverage. Please book in advance by contacting them.

We had an amazing time with Bravo and Pimnienta on our Jungle, Forest and Beach ride! Our guide was extremely nice and we did our best for the horses to enjoy the ride with us. It's a family owned business and everyone is trying their best to keep their horses as well as the riders safe. I was lucky to have a private ride with the sweet and nice sayat. It was really nice talking with him and learn a little more about his life and work. I book a one hour jungle and beach ride and it was absolutely amazing. I was afraid at the beginning because it was my first ride ever but sayat reassured me and show me everything that I need to know. He even takes the time to take beautiful pictures of me on the horse. They all very passionate and working with a lot of love for the horses. Pomelo (if I remember correctly) the horse wall well behaved and well cared and it was a pleasure riding him. Amazing experience also for experienced people. Canter on the beach, really nice forest walk. The guide was really nice, we talk a lot about horses but also Langkawi and places worth to see on the island. They are really taking good of the horses.

I booked a solo horseback ride (2 hours - Jungle, Beach, Lighthouse). The guide was fantastic (sorry, forgot the name - from Bangladesh). We did a lot of canter along the beach, trot on our way. The horses are well kept and trained. Pick-up service from the Danna is comfortable, only minutes away. Highly recommended also for experienced riders.
