Be prepared while going that it has very less vegetarian options, Also for people not aware ayam is chicken if you have religious restriction in food.

Maybe I was expecting much but the night market in Penang was much more interesting, its all about local food and some useless poor selection of everything

I have been to many, my favorite is in Kuah on a Saturday, I believe it is the biggest. The food is fab, however the rest is more focused on locals.I found google maps useful for finding where they are and when they are on. Enjoy

The night market is a great thing to do in the late afternoon, tons of local food and some people selling clothes and toys ! But mainly food and fruit. Give it a shot it is wonderful

This is the best night market I've visited for local foods and snacks. Such a variety on offer. Hot, cold, sweet or savory . Fantastic smells, sights and sounds. Wish we'd found it earlier to sample more.

There is a ton of good and cheap food to eat at this market! Local delights and many more. They have some little shops with clothes. There are a lot of locals, it's a nice place for food but not anything else.

Our experience was there was nothing at the market that you couldn't buy anywhere in one of the many shops along the road at the same price. Seemed to be the same merchants selling the same stuff but from a stall rather than their shop.

A place where with lots of local dishes and delicacies. Plenty of satay which is great! Malay food generally tastes sweet...Night markets in langkawi are opened at different places on different days. Visited the one near Pentai Cenang beach.

We were in Pantai Chenang and went to the night market there, wouldn't bother it was generally the same stuff as any shop along the street and believe most stalls would have been run by those shops. You can get as good a... More
