I wouldn't class this as an attractation, but it was an okay way to get from A (Penang) to B (Langkawi) and back again for a day trip, but is is definately not an attraction.

Thats all i can say,it gets you there.If it went down,no escape from the hull area,an eerie experience.I have been on worse boats,but it was a long time ago.

The ferry is a horrible experience. Being in the downstairs section you feel totally trapped if something bad happened where people had to get off quickly there would be no chance! exiting by ladder into an already cramped exit area would leave most people dead....More

Fly from KL or Penang or get the ferry from Penang. No ferries from KL.

There is only one ferry company from langkawi,, at kuah terminal to Penang. Two 2 sailings a day,. There are others to mainland or thailand but not to penang as of my visit in february 2018 at least.
