Absolutely one of the best wildlife experience we've had! We took a night walk and a 5 hour day trek.We saw many chameleons, different species of bamboo lemurs, sifaka and birds. The guide we had was excellent - super knowledgeable and friendly.

I traveled to Ranomafana with my girlfriend for New Year's Eve 2017, and we had a wonderful time. I found the national park to be a great experience, and we saw lots of lemurs, chameleons, and other wildlife. A few quick learnings... 1. You need...More

I absolutely LOVED this national park. It's incredibly beautiful and the wildlife is of course unique to Madagascar for much of it. I can't recommend visiting here enough. You have to see for yourself!

We visited the park on a rainy afternoon and had Theo as a guide: had an amazing time. Theo is able to imitate the call of different species of lemurs and birds and he managed to spot all three types of Bamboo lemurs of the...More

We did three walks in the park. The two day hikes yeilded 5 varieties of lemur and the night walk added a further one, the mouse lemur. Highlights were the chameleons and lemurs of course. The walk was great but challenging in parts- large steps...More

The focus of the guide was on finding lemurs, using a couple of runners with cellphones which was all a bit frenetic, but we did see lemurs at close quarters. Perhaps it was communication, but we would have loved to have spent more time covering...More

Enjoy the night walk, recommended! 2 hours morning hiking is easy, the guide in national park was so helpful! Met a group of primary school students so we had a good photo time! 🙂🙂🙂

Once we shook off the feeling of so many groups heading out to the same places, we had fun going down steep forested slopes as the Lemurs scampered through the trees up above, especially the Golden Lemurs. Also the sheer number of Lemur species in...More

Yes this is great for seeing the lemurs, but I guess we were a little disappointed. Maybe we were just unlucky or we had just been spoilt at Andasibe-Mantadia National Park (where we saw lemurs up close in the wild). We did see several lemurs,...More

Yes, what the others wrote is correct - as far as I can tell. We had a hired driver and although I have driven all kinds of vehicles all over the world, I was mighty glad that we didn't have to in Madagascar. There is a... More

It starts at sunset around 6 pm but you will need to get to the start so mast be leaving your accommodation half an hour earlier. More of a walk than a hike!
