Byblos was crowned best tourist city in the middle east, and it was not for nothing. Byblos has lot of things to tell, in history, culture, gastronomy, sea life, sbopping, tourism... The city shows a great efforts for preservation. The old city is amazing and should be discovered. The dock is also wonderful for walking and watching the sea. Then the alleys constitute a great part for tourism, looking and discovering, making shopping, and finally have a meal or a drink in a restaurant, restaurants are numerous and all are very good.

There is no surveillance when it comes to safety at the park so everyone watches out for his child however what’s good here is :
Cleanliness
Availability of food amenities and kiosks
Public toilets are also available
Enough park structures and divertissement objects for children let’s say below 10 years of age
Jogging, walking at the park is also suitable for adults

It is quite rare in Lebanon, which is why one needs to stress out on the superb achievement of Byblos establishing this nice park for kids and families. It's free and has a free playground with nice shades and amazing greenery. A small train will carry the kids around for a small fee. However, keep any fragile strollers away as the paths are full of annoying pebbles.

Byblos is about an hour north of Beirut by bus. There is an interesting fort to tour, a souk for all sorts of touristy items and local shopping (the food shops and spices are wonderful). The outdoor eating area in the centre is fabulous, pretty and noisy. Walk down to the pier for a beautiful view of the Mediterranean.

This is a beautiful small park. Great play area for kids. Lots of green and shady trees. A few stalls selling cold drinks and ice cream, a gym area and great picnic area.

Its lovely to walk around the historical ruins, ranging from pre-historic to medieval. Then to sit in one of the street bars and have a nice relaxing beer as the sun goes down. Beautiful.

We were visiting "Marché aux fleurs" in Byblos that was organized in the public park. The park was crowded but there was enough place for kids to play different swings, climbing structures, rides , etc. Clean and greeny surrounding , variety of cafes. Good for active leisure for the parents as well.
