The port itself feels a very safe and mostly clean area of Byblos. It was the ideal place to spend a surprisingly mild afternoon. There is lots of parking available (some free places on street and a much larger paid car park). Would highly recommend having a coffee and taking in the view at one of the cafés along the port. There are boat trips available in high season and a beach very close too, for when the weather is warmer.

Byblos is always lovely. It is a wonderful place to present to visitors. One encounters many layers of history. My only didappointment is to find shops in the old souk selling fake shoes.

One evidence is that Byblos has one of the oldest ports in the history of human kind.
Should you visit the sea port make sure you:
• check the newly constructed alley right at the end of the port
• have a lunch by the sea at one of the restaurants facing the port
• have a walk in the old city
• have a boat tour from the port that takes you around byblos and it's sea entry

When visiting the fascinating old city of Byblos you must walk down to the Ancient Byblos Sea Port which is still very active today. You see fishermen preparing their boats and small tour boats taking tourists out to the sea to view this famous city of Byblos from another perspective.
When the Crusader built their Byblos Castle they also constructed twin towers to guard the entrance of their only seaport. These towers remain today as a stark reminder of those ancient days.
There are a few parking spaces along the port, but it may be best to park your car up the hill closer to the old Byblos Crusader Castle.
After you tour this small old harbor you can enjoy a meal at one of the several seafood restaurants directly facing the old seaport.

This small port has charm, atmosphere, and history. Small fishing boats come and go. There are restaurants overlooking the port. It's the raison d'etre of Byblos itself.

Pity one of the oldest sea ports in mankind history is so neglected. The port is small cosy and beautiful yet neglected by authorities since it has lots of potentials. The port is surrounded by traditional Lebanese restaurants and the small harbour has few traditional fishing boats and one for short tourist tours and events. Despite all it remains a great place to visit. Overall recommended

The Byblos port is a short walk from the Byblos Castle it once served. The port is very small but it has significant Phoenician history. Today there are some ruins around the port but mainly it now houses many fine restaurants. The harbour itself is home to many pleasure and fishing boats.
