This is a very good park and is the biggest in Almaty. It is centrally located and near the Zelyoniy Market. It was previously called Gorky Park after the Russian author Maxim Gorky. The flower beds are very colourful and well maintained. Many people come to this park with their children because there are carousels and other park amusements which... More

It's a wonderful place to walk with children. So many old and high trees, green grass all around. Also there are zoo, different attractions and cafes.

A large park. Nicely kept but most activities are for kids. A fair walk from the city centre. You can walk here from Gogol Street where Panfilov park is. About a 20 minute walk. A map showed a lake but I didn't walk that far. Nice in summer... I imagine in winter it's a bit miserable

Definitely a must-visit on a trip to Almaty, this is a beautiful park with the centerpiece being its Disney style cathedral.

This is one of the nicest parks that I've had the pleasure to visit in a long time. The park is vast and very clean. Definitely a must see destination.

The just budding trees and newly planted flower beds indicate just how verdant this place will be from mid April. The walk around was a welcome respite from the traffic and fumes of the sidewalk. Lots of benches for conversation or people watching.

It's a must, it is big, lot of fun for kids... Really really a must see.. Good for a walk, to have fun with kids, there is a lake in the middle, big football stadium, zoo, dinosaurs park, adventure path... and amusement park... Nice both during summer and winter. . You won't be disappointed.
