I'm not a biologist, but those plants are beautifull! You can deffinetly feel purity of the air is here. Many thing to do for people of all ages: calm ferris wheel, shooting ranges, room of fear, few cafes etc. Or you can just wonder around and enjoy yourself and this place! Prices are OK.

Great green oasis in the center of busy city. Good for walking , jogging, relaxation. Lot of flowerbeds. Many wedding ceremonies on a weekends. There are a big statue of eternal Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbaev with stone wings on the back. It is a bit unusual for a living person. Otherwise it is a friendly and relaxed place

A very interesting place to spend a morning walking around on a nice day looking at all the different things in the park and maybe trying a few of the attractions out, in the permanent fairground or marine & aqua park. The colours in the flower beds were excellent considering it was the end of September.

I am assuming it is a temperature that will not give you hypothermia so April to October, but this is a park for business men to stretch their legs if they are staying in a nearby hotel - I was in the Medeu round the corner. There are few maps in this town/hotel so I recommend you get a map... More

We walked around here for a while before heading to the Bazar. Some very pleasant tree lined avenues, a few buskers playing (very good) music, and impressive buildings and statues in various places. A central square had lots of pigeons, and is ideal for children, with a puffing billy, plastic animal statues, and segways and little vehicles to drive. The... More

This is a very good park and is the biggest in Almaty. It is centrally located and near the Zelyoniy Market. It was previously called Gorky Park after the Russian author Maxim Gorky. The flower beds are very colourful and well maintained. Many people come to this park with their children because there are carousels and other park amusements which... More

It's a wonderful place to walk with children. So many old and high trees, green grass all around. Also there are zoo, different attractions and cafes.

A large park. Nicely kept but most activities are for kids. A fair walk from the city centre. You can walk here from Gogol Street where Panfilov park is. About a 20 minute walk. A map showed a lake but I didn't walk that far. Nice in summer... I imagine in winter it's a bit miserable
