I would strongly recommend you to avail services of Andrey from Kolsai Tours if you are visiting Kazakhstan. I was traveling through Central Asia with my wife and daughter (5y) and Andrey was able to prepare a Private Tour that met our needs in a very short time at a very competitive rate. We did 4D/3N Zhetsyu Tour - covering stunning sights around Almaty. Andrey was very kind to pick us up at Almaty airport upon arrival and transfer us to our hotel in city - giving us a quick brief about the city, country and the program itself during the ride. Next morning - at sharp 8 - our Driver and Guide, the highly experienced Maxim reported for duty! He was very considerate, flexible and patient - ensuring all of us had a comfortable and exciting tour throughout. The itinerary was planned in such a way that we arrived at sites when there were hardly anyone else - and we got the stunning natural landscapes for ourselves! His SUV was very spacious, comfortable and reliable. We stayed in small/cozy guest houses that offered home cooked food and made our stay pleasant. After the tour, Andrey also ensured that we were dropped off in time to Almaty airport - arranging a prepaid Taxi to pick us from the hotel ! Thank you Andrey and Maxim for making Kazakhstan a memorable experience !

It was the best 5-days private tour around Kazakhstan, compiled on an individual request, with all our wishes! I highly recommend Andrei as a travel organizer - you’ll get an unforgettable experience.

We thoroughly recommend SU tours and describe the experience of our trip. We had an excellent 2 day trip with our guide Hakim, he was very friendly, an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble . The trip was well paced with regular stops .Once you leave Almaty you begin to realise how large Kazakhstan is .The rolling steppe and the mountains North and South make for very dramatic scenery. You realise that distance takes on a new meaning here ,especially if you are used to the UK for example. We really felt that during this trip we saw a little of inside KZ . Our first stop was beside a lake and all that could be heard was the wind and birdsong. It felt truly elemental .We were the only ones there .Then we visited Charyn canyon it suddenly appears as a deep gash in the rolling steppe ,very dramatic. We did the 2.5 km walk to the bottom, where you come to the fast flowing river that helped form the gorge over millions of years. Very dramatic and a geographer’s dream, geology writ large. We walked on a very hot day and were pleased to take the open truck back up to the start. We then had a lunch by a river ( beer and watermelon cooled in the fast running clear , cold , river),on our own again. This involved some fun off road driving in Hakim’s very comfortable air conditioned Chevrolet 4x 4 . Then on our way to our overnight stop we visited another part of Charyn canyon, which was almost moonlike with areas of multi coloured rocks, we were alone and were able to take in this amazing spectacle and watch a gathering storm head towards us over the steppe. Our guest house was in the mountains [end of the Tian Shen range] situated in a peaceful wide river valley. The guest house was very welcoming and we were well looked after by our host ,a very friendly woman who prepared a delicious supper (plov)for us and again in the morning a breakfast(porridge and pancakes with sour cream). We met other travellers and traveller’s tales were exchanged after supper. On day 2 we visited Lake Kaindy in the morning ,a blue fir lined walk down to the lake with many wild flowers , wild strawberries and blueberries growing beside the paths. The tall tree trunks( submerged as a result of a landslide ) stand in the water looking quite surreal ,the lake and surrounding mountains form a very dramatic background. We returned to our GH for some lunch and then set off to Kolsai lakes . The main lake is quite a developed site and is obviously popular with local and foreign visitors.Again the lake is set in truly dramatic mountain scenery .We had a nice boat trip on the lake .It is possible to go on longer hikes / rides from here to some of the other lakes . From the lakes we made our way back to Almaty leaving the mountains behind via an old silk road pass ,you lose 1000 m of altitude as you descend to the plains . Our final stop was another place on the Charyn canyon.Once again you see this deep canyon appear suddenly in the steppe. There were stunning views of the river below . Then we made our way back to Almaty. We really felt that we had seen a great deal in a short time and learnt about Kazakhstan and its people .We were struck by the welcome of people and the beauty of the country. We look forward to other expeditions with this tour company in the future .Our thanks to Hakim our Guide and Andrey who arranged the tour.

We with my wife have been stayed in Almaty only for four days, therefore we didn't have much time to see all sightseeings around. I have contacted with Andrey and arranged all details of private tour in advance. As I understand its a group of professional guides. We were picked up from the hotel at the agreed time, our tour guid Nikita, very friendly and positive young man, gave us all information on the way to our destanation as we passed interesting places and answered all our questions. The trip were very comfortable, well-equipped huge off-road car, with plenty of space, AC an cold beverages;). We've made several stops along the way to make photos, and even as we had schedule, everywhere we had our free time as much as we need it. There is no need to describe all incredible nature masterpieces such as mountain lakes with crystal blue water and grand canyon with sophisticated shapes, you need to see it by your own eyes! All tour was organized extremely good, we've got breakfast and lunch in authentic guest house, where local celebrity aunt Shakira cooked delicious national cousine. We definitely will be back to Kazakhstan for new tours with this guys!

Our private day tour with Andrei was very enjoyable: Andrei picked up us at our hotel on time, in his comfortable air conditioned ATV. On the way to the canyon we stopped at a beautiful reservoir for Fresh-made coffee, and at a Uighur town. The canyon was spectacular, the 2 hour hike not too difficult. After the hike, we had a lovely picnic lunch by the river, which included fried cheese and a chilled local white wine, Fresh baked local bread, Plov, and strawberries - all provided by our gracious host. I highly recommend this wonderful day out.
