You can spend all day here and enjoy, no matter Couples, Families, Single or whatever. As you arrive at Oeno Metro station, go outside to the front square, take a LEFT at the main street, and walk around 50 meters. At the Stand a Pickup Bus (can accommodate around 30 persons) will come that drops you off at Onsen Monogatari free of charge, a 15 minutes drive. It comes around every 40 minutes or so. Entrance: There's an impressive entrance, with a beautiful wall of lit Lanterns when you first walk in the door. After you've taken off your shoes and stored these in the available lockers, there's a QR-code generator system they use. So do bring your SMARTPHONE with the APP installed ! You'll use this to get a small discount, but actually it's just for this Onsen to keep a count of the Visitor number. At the registration counter you will receive your numbered key, which functions as your registration item when you buy things. Wear this on your Arm or Leg during your entire visit here. Proceed to the separated Mens' and ladies rooms which are located directly to the LEFT and RIGHT of the Counter where you receive your Bathrobe. If you forgot your Bathingsuit, you can rent one here at a reasonable price. The Locker room is big and looks beautiful with traditional drawings. The Public Area: After putting on your Bathing clothes you proceed through a pretty long hall to the Public Area. Bathing-Suit required for the shared area's, there's quite a lot to do. Mainly: Several small pools, finnish Sauna, Bubble bath, a cold Waterfall shower, Small snack-Restaurant, funny thing is; inside in a corner of the restaurant there are those fish that nibble at your feet. Although it's difficult to see there is a Charge (800yen for a few minutes) for using it. (Because it was crowded there we didn't see the sign and we jumped right in, enjoying it, but after 4 minutes the Staff told us about the fee. We did enjoy though, heheheh) In the Public Area there is one big natural Spa bath colored red which can accommodate around 25 persons. Feels great, and it's ... Hot! In the separated Men's Bathroom there is a mix of pools and some small natural Spa's for around 8 persons which are great, I presume the Ladies Bathroom has the same Layout. In the separated Men's Bathroom you are required to Wash up when you Enter, and finished enjoying the Public Area and from here-on-in, you are naked in this public mensroom area. All amenities are included, everything is there, up to the toothbrush. It's very well taken care of. It's good to take a break once or twice during your day there. You could snack and drink, have dinner and look at the in-house shops at your leisure. Restaurant: There is plenty to eat and snack in the restaurant area from meals to pancakes, you'll find plenty variety, even Soft-ice-creams for the kids or even when you want to cool down. The in-house shops have a lot of touristy things, just in case you need any. There are those big (paid) massage chairs available, but upstairs you may also enjoy various types of body massage (such as natural or scrub), rates are fairly high-priced but should be worth it. As you finish the day, return the clothes and Key: at the registration counter they'll bill you up. Check the Bill here and ensure it's all 100% ok. They are very precise and we got billed correctly. All-in-all it was a GREAT day, Although this is not a Budget attraction, it's well worth the visit for Tourists who want to experience that Japanese Onsen-feeling in a public shared area.
