The street symbolizes the name of Sendai as "the city of trees". Unfortunately, led lighting does not work in the summer, so there is no romance. Erotic sculptures are not highlighted too. We can only guess. Summary: everything is very sad on a summer evening.

The place is very famous about winter special decoration, 17:00-0:00. Even though summer time, the place is so beautiful to go for walk.

This wide avenue is tree-lined, and decorated with some monumental (bronze) statues carved by the Italian sculptor Emilio Greco. It makes for a pleasant daytime walk. IN the (autumn) evenings, trees "come alive" with fairy lights-- just lovely!

Went at night with the wife. We were disappointed to find the trees not lit up, apparently that only happens in winter. Still, it was a nice stroll, plenty of tall leafy trees, clean broad sidewalks and balmy weather. Plus, it was quiet when we...More
