I used the inn's peach picking ticket.
It was Obon, so peach season was in full swing.
I parked in the second parking lot at 9:20 in the morning...
The designated time was 9:40.
I grabbed the fruit knife and bucket I was given and headed out to pick peaches for the first time in my life.
The trees were full of peaches, and there was a tripod ladder for each one. I was told that the fruit higher up on the tree is sweeter, so I aimed for the highest fruit and picked it, which was the tastiest.
There were tents for each variety, and I was able to compare the taste of the peaches with those I had picked two days earlier.
I learned two things.
① Peaches are sweeter at the top of the tree.
② Peaches are sweeter and easier to eat if they are left to sit for 2-3 days rather than freshly picked.
I finished off four in 30 minutes and was very satisfied.

It was apple season when I visited, and I was able to pick and eat as many apples as I wanted in 30 mins. They were fresh and delicious, and there were many different types to taste from! The farm cafe was also great, and their parfaits were packed with fresh fruit and rich ice cream, and were some of the best I've ever had in my life

I went to the 《forest garden》 next to the Marusei Orchard. Here, the content of the parfait changes depending on the season, and I ordered a peach parfait (700 yen). Among the various peach varieties, it was stated that a little hard peach was used on this day, and when I tried to eat it, it was certainly satisfying. But it was sweet and very delicious.
