great place, great array of samples. worth a visit true sampling of northern japanese culture and life. fresh fish caught daily. a plethora of food from the region. friendly vendors.

In this trip, I have been the Matsushima Fish Market, the Aomori Gyosai Center, the Hasshoku Center and the Maruko Center of Goshogawara. The Hasshoku Center is the biggest one among them. If you are visiting Hachinohe and want to see what kind of food people consume, then Hasshoku Center is the place. Hasshoku Center is a worthwhile and authentic Japanese destination. Located outside of Hachinohe City, it is primarily a market for fish (both fresh and dried), but also for vegetables, meats, and local Aomori specialties.
