秋田駅から西武百貨店まで行くと、その先にアーケード街があります。商店街と言っていますが、現在はあまりお店はなく、コンビニや喫茶店やお食事処などあるだけで、通る時間によってはシャッターが閉まっているので寂しい感じでした。

なかいちもできて、美術館もある。秋田の中心的な通りです。レストランやカフェはこの辺を歩けばおのずと見つかる。

秋田駅から徒歩で10分程度、アトリオンのビル、エリアなかいちの近くですが、お店はあまりなく寂しい感じの商店街です。

観光地に向かうのに便利

JR秋田駅西口から千秋公園、美術館、赤レンガ郷土館等の駅に近くに観光施設へ向かう時に通りました。いろんな店があり便利な通りですが、人通りは夏の昼間のせいか少なく感じました。

秋田駅西口から続く商店街。別にここに限ったことではないのでしょうが、かなり寂しい印象です。かといって何か有効な打つ手があるとも思えませんが。

昔の賑わいはどこへ…

ひと昔前は駅前商店街の一部でそれなりに人通りがあり、賑わっていたのですがいまでは…。郊外型の店舗が主流となり、有料駐車場を利用してまで駅前で買い物をしようとは思わないのは仕方のないことですが、県都である秋田市の中心街がこれでは少しさみしい気もします…。

JR秋田駅から続く商店街でした。休日に行きましたが、そんなに混まずすいすいと散策しました。この周辺に秋田駅周辺の見どころが集約されている感じがします。
旧金子家住宅やねぶり流し館、赤れんが郷土館、県立美術館もこの通りから徒歩圏内です。
