When you are at Katsurahama beach, you will not and should not miss this Shrine. Just walk towards another end from Kasturahama bus stop and you will find this shrine on top of a small hill. A photo shoot from this location is beautiful, please consider.

The cover photo says it all for this trip! The beauty shots from many different angles are great. I have not added any photos to this site, because it has ample good ones. Enjoy the views!

There is not much to do and see in Kochi and we found this place to enjoy the ocean and the view. If you like Ryoma Sakamoto, there is a giant statue of him. It was super hot, but we were not allowed to be in the water, not even get close to the water due to ragging wave. If you like seared Tuna, Kochi is the place for it. The main purpose of our trip was to see Yosakoi festival in Aug, which was amazing.

The shrine is located near a beautiful and picturesque beach in the Kochi prefecture at the entrance to Urado Bay. Note that this is not a swimming area due to strong undercurrents but it is a place to wet your feet and relax after following the pathway to the shrine. For small rock collectors there is a plethora to choose from – very colourful and smooth. The pathway to the beach can either be direct or by descending the walkway from the bronze statue of Sakamoto Ryoma.

This little shrine is perched on a promontory over crashing waves, so is a beautiful spot for photographs. It is near the Sakamoto Ryoma statue that is a symbol of Kochi Prefecture, so be sure to make a side trip to the shrine if you visit the statue.

This small shrine is at the end of a peninsula. Take a walk out there and admire the views of the beach and the ocean.

At the end of Katsurahama you can find this small, but lovely shrine, which is dedicated to the goddess of oceans. The view from the top of its hill is beautiful.

Located at the end of the Katsurahama coastline, many tourists visit the shrine to see the observation deck.
As for the shrine itself, it only has a small altar.
