高知市内を流れる鏡川の土手沿いに立て看板が有りました。案内板も破れていて読みにくいです。幼少時期の坂本龍馬はここで励みました。

龍馬の生まれた街から歩いて鏡川の方に出たところ。特にここという特定はされていませんでしたが、日根野道場跡はこの辺りという場所があります。
龍馬は道場で１４～１９歳まで修業して、一心に武芸に励んだということです。

今となっては住宅街と水路しかない場所ですが、龍馬が剣術の修業をした場所として有名な場所です。龍馬ファンしか行かないかと思います。

国道32号線の上町二丁目交差点を鏡川へ向かって進み、鏡川にかかる橋を渡る直前を東に入ると、現在の堤防沿いの道路に入れます。この辺りに、日根野道場があったと言われる場所で、この先の鏡川で龍馬が水泳の練習をしたとされています。

鏡川沿いのこの辺りを築屋敷と云うの立て看板はあったが、どこを探しても日根野道場跡の石碑も立て看板も見当たらず、相当探した。散歩中の吾人に声を掛け、この付近がそうですよと教えられ一段落。土佐っぽの地図表記は合っている。大きな家が立ち並ぶ舗装が綺麗な道沿いにも案内板がほしいものだ。
