Just a few steps from the Dogo onsen the park is a nice enclave in the city. You can go up the hill and the view is rather nice. Also the ruins of the original castle are being studied and there are explanations in English!

It is a nice tourist attraction to do in Matsuyama other than the Dogo Onsen that can be done in 1hr.

Visited in early April. Blooming Sakura. Just few minutes from Dogo station. People are super nice taking initiative to help take photos for us.
