Extremely easy to get from one station all around Naha, everything is in English below Japanese. Staff doesn't really understand English though, best to use the kiosk. Reasonably priced as well, very clean and not too crowded.

If you visit 2-3 area, i’d like to recommend you 1day ticket~~ 두곳 정도 다니시고 숙소돌아오는데 필요하다면 1day 추천드려요~ 48시간권도 있구요. 공항 도착하자마자 48 시간 끊었음 젤 저렴했는데 몰랐어요 ㅠㅠ

I rented a car to drive around Okinawa but returned the car when I returned to Naha and took the Yui rail to get around Naha. The one way fares are not that cheap. I did the math and the day pass ticket does not...More

Great way to get around the main area of Naha, simple cheap and easy travel. Just a shame that something similar doesn't extend further out to the rest of the island and other sights.

Got on the monorail and rode it to Shuri Castle, then stayed on and rode it to the airport, then back to where we got on. An unguided up in the air tour of Naha. We actually could have used a cheaper ticket, but I...More

Upon arrival at Naha Airport, using the Yui Rail is very easy. Located just outside of the Domestic Terminal, Yui Rail is quick and on time. Announcements on the train are in both Japanese and English. Clean, inexpensive and efficient. Highly recommended.

Luggage on Yui Rail? (2 Replies)
Is it OK to bring suitcases on the monorail (like if I had two)? I don't want to assume that just because it stops at the airport that it's OK (the car seems small).

Yup, totally normal and almost expected because the monorail connects to the airport (although most living in Japan would just ship their luggage from their home to their hotel, likely, or carry a small carryon only) There are coin lockers at every monorail station and at the airport as well, if things get too out of control. They will be large enough to fit large suitcases - you'd be shocked at what I've squeezed into station lockers in Japan. Rates start at 300 yen for lockers for 8...More
Car hire (6 Replies)
Looking for car hire in Naha for two days. 9am to 6/7pm the next night. Airport area would be preferable but anywhere near the Yui Rail would do. Car suitable for four people at a reasonable rate. Are roads in Naha tolled and what is the best way to pay for that? All recommendations welcomed.

Rental car company option is many at Naha Airport. There're some rental car offices near Yui Rail Akamine or Koroku station if you prefer those near the station close to the airport. There're 3 rental car offices (Orix, OTS, Skyrent) in DFS T Galleria building if you hire one in town, for example. We drive expressway (tollway) mainly when we go to central and northern area, such as Nago, Uruma, etc.
