This is a treasure trove. We managed to find and do our shoppings here. Within here is the Makashi public market where there are some eateries.

Not sure if it is touristy but there's a lot of locals shopping there, with small convenience store, selling various daily groceries. Nice to walk and perhaps know more about their local interactions.

Heiwa shopping dori is a covered shopping mall along Kokusai Street. There's shops selling fruits, Okinawan specialties like sea grapes, black/brown sugar, there are duty free drug stores, clothes shops, souvenir shops etc. It's a great option for shopping when it rains.

Local specialty market, covered against the rain. Easy to walk around and experience local foods and other assorted goods on sale. Gets busy in late afternoon.

This was a great place to spend a couple hours walking around and getting some shopping done. Everything from food, market, to souvenirs. Go first thing in the morning to avoid crowds but not everything will be open yet.
