2km of shops and restaurants, ranging from Starbucks to local ticket cafeterias, themed dining, tacky tourist shops to local hand made jewellery. Lots to see, but and eat. Sunday day time is pedestrianised with a street magician and activities for kids.

It's interesting to walk along the street with different types of shops, some of which have interesting display as well. It's easy to buy all the souvenirs here without going anywhere else. One may want to check the prices though as different shops may price...More

Kokusai Street is one of my favorite places to spend the day on Okinawa. There is one central road that runs the entire length of this shopping area and there are hundreds of shops on each side of the road. There are wide sidewalks that...More

Went here as part of a tour. Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. Fun for about half an hour unless you are into shopping

This is the main shopping street of Okinawa. Yes, it is very touristy but there’s a number of good street food stalls located around here. Many local souvenirs shops and eateries along this street.

A strip with souvenir shops and restaurants geared towards tourists. The shops repeat themselves after a while, and the restaurants are either local cuisine or American junk food. There’s a popular A&W with good burgers and curly fries at the entrance of Kokusaidori.

Lots of shops selling souvenirs. The prices are very similar between shops but there also other shops like Calibee and ice cream shop I haven't seen elsewhere. But don't forget the side streets it has more interesting items.

Tourist shop street. Check out local nic-naks to purchase and goods to buy. We found tons of fun things in this street but it is geared towards tourists.

A dedicated area for tourists to do their souvenir shopping and to try the specialty Okinawan foods. Many stores carry similar souvenirs with the same price ranges. However, interspersed between them you will find unique stores with their own personalities. Here you will most likely...More

About 15 minutes walking is correct. The sunshine maybe hot if you do that or the rain may spoil your day. We took a cab (100 yen) because there were 4 of us and also because of our age ( above 75).
