Lots and lots of different tour companies. Almost everything is in Japanese (although toilets are marked in English). Couple different ATMs, at least one of which will accept overseas cards. We had booked a tour from our hotel and went to one of the tour desks to do the paperwork. Agent spoke passable English. We didnt find long wait times... More

Various stalls with drinks, snacks and souvenirs available. Also a sitting area for waiting. Parking lot with paid parking available. This terminal is where you depart on the boats for island hopping, it's efficient and easy to navigate.

If you go to frequented islands then it does not really matter if you miss one ferry, but when you go for example to Iriomotejima, it is better to get there at least 30 min earlier and stand in line at the designated port. The lines are looong and there is limited space on the ferry (under 90 people can... More

Good for buying boxed candy/treats and souvenirs. Nice for getting out of the sun! Most stores sell the same/ similar items.

Ferry terminal is well organized and lots of tours available to purchase in the terminal. I had a print out with both English and Japanese saying what I need; so unsure if I would have found my way without my printout. Lots of food options and very clean.

This ferry terminal, from where you go to other islands, is spacious and clam. Everything seems well organised and under control.

I had been waiting for the ferries to Iriomote Island in here several times before. The terminal was spacious to wait for the ferry and there were several shops to eat & drink. I did not feel any inconvenience in this terminal.

Ishigaki is an island of natural beauty but without many commercial attractions. The ferries go to other islands, the nearest being Takatomi, which has a small traditional community. For information about island hopping, you will probably need to look it up on line, as with most of Japan, very little tourist information is printed in English. There is usually someone... More

Ferry terminal with competing tour and ferry companies selling their deals at a row of ticket shops so you can check the competition. Also a couple of souvenir shops with some drinks and food. A bar overlooks the harbour from one of the stores. It is small enough to get through easily but don't expect a lot of English assistance.... More
