Several lookout points offers unobstructed views of the island from an elevated location. There were several species of birds that we could hear in the trees and saw several people jogging on the park road. It's a real nice spot to picnic so bring a meal with you as well.

This is a very beautiful park with many places to see the nature from unique vantage points. A car is essential and some binoculars are recommended. We took it all in on an overcast day and appreciated the nights, sea and wildlife (falcon hanging out on a power pole). Fortunately there is little commercialization (so bring your own whatever). Restrooms... More

A huge, gorgeous, superbly maintained park amidst the jungle. If you have half a day you will enjoy walking around the park to see the various artistic installations (many climbable structures that kids will love) and the gorgeous plants and trees. The paths throughout the park are extremely wide and smooth, perfect for cycling or skating. This place sets the... More

There were a couple of places in Banna park to see some great views of the island. The place is well kept and very clean. Beautiful sunset can be viewed here.

Nice and clean park. Clear guidance and a lot of room for parking. Many tables and seats so recommended place to go for a small picnic.

I recommend to take a walk from observatory to under the Banna park. Of cource, a driving along the park way is absolutely awesome.

If you want amazing views of Ishigaki, this is the place to go. There are a number of observation platforms around the park that provide fantastic views that really are stunning. The walks through the park itself are also very pretty and if you like butterflies, it is an awesome place to see them. We went in December and the... More

Birds and butterflies, streams and lakes, flowering plants, woodlands and gardens, and playgrounds - this nature park has it all! One observation tower is bejeweled with "stained glass" and mosaics, another is fashioned like a giant egg. Pavilions overlook lakes and scenic vistas. My favorite bridge was designed like an immense tree trunk. Roads and paved paths make this park... More

The weather was not good - rain in the air, but the feeling was wonderful. Definitely a place to see (preferably WITHOUT too many other people...)
