You need to swim or walk out to the drop-off at high tide (about 150m) and there you will see beautiful, multi-colour, intact, coral gardens. In 2 hours we saw the following: a turtle, trumpet fish, lion fish, box fish, puffer fish, multiple types of trigger fish, clown fish, parrot, angel fish. Coral next to the beach is broken but... Water very clear. Many corals and fish to discover. Plenty of space for everyone. Be careful not to get a bad sunburn on the back of your neck/ on your back.

Yonehara is a good spot for snorkeling. There is a shop that provide material and locker while you dive. It's mandatory to avoid low tide. Lot of dead coral but at high tide you can see some fish.

If you love to snorkel this is a great beach to do so!. The waters are very calm and shallow which allows you to walk out into the ocean for about 15m at some spots. This beach does not rent sunshades and the sun can be very brutal during June. You can reach Yonehara Beach by bus although the bus... More

This beach is very nice and you don't need to go far to see very beautiful fish. The water is clean and clear. We spent the whole afternoon there. Better to go high tide.

Clean beach with some interesting snorkelling. You need to pay for parking here- there should be someone in the car park to take the charge.

Nice Beach to play in. The sand, look at the corals and simple in the water. Beware of the currents. The left side of the beach has less currents. You have rest rooms and showers. And one shop shells snacks and cold be stages. After sun bathing (be careful with the UV index) go to the attraction with the painted... More

We were told this is the best place on the island to swim and snorkel. Yes snorkelling is good in that there is a great variety and quantity of fish to see, but the beach is not that good, as it and the water are strewn with broken coral, making it very difficult/painful to walk on. Wearing jellies is advisable,... More

Beautiful beach to snorkel at. We went at the end of the habu jellyfish season, and had a lovely time, seeing all sorts of see life without even venturing very far offshore. Mention is made of dangerous rips, however we did find this well signed. A very enjoyable experience!
