This is definitely one of the best observatories in the Sasebo area. You can see the entire area that surrounds Sasebo including Saikai, 99 islands, and the surrounding mountains.. Amazing vista and well worth the drive up to the parking area.

A little bit far and difficult to find. You need some hiking to get to the top of observation deck. No restroom facilities. But you will get good view of 99 islands

We drove to this attraction on a rainy day. Visibility was not good for pictures, but you definitely got a sense of the magnitude of the 99 islands. After a short walk through the forest canopy, we came upon the observation deck and platform, but...More

This is a great location for taking stunning pictures. The road going up is single line which can get interesting when meeting cars. The walking paths are rocks and dirt and is not handicap accessible.

It's worth it to go here if you are passing through Nagasaki. There's a 300m walk to get up to the look out point on an uneven path with some large rock steps (for those who have trouble walking) but you can take it slowly....More

Stunning view of the Kujukushima Islands. There is not much parking space, and the Sasebo Sightseeing Cruise Bus does not stop there, so plan accordingly. If you take the bus up to Kujukushima Pearl Resort, sit on the left side of the bus and you...More

Take the boat trip before you come to overlook the 99 islands. If you drive, prepare 3-4 hours to visit the kujukushima ( 99 islands). There are altogether 4 overlook stops of kujukushima. Visit 2 overlooks which serves different angles.
