About 500 meters long and fully roof covered, shopping arcade downtown Kumamoto like there are so many in Japanese cities throughout the country. Loaded with big and smaller shops of all kinds on both sides along the way. Especially in this shopping street the amount...More
Shimotori is the main shopping street/mall in Kumamoto. You will find practically anything you wish to buy, some really good stores are on the narrow streets that cross it. There are plenty of restaurants there, however the best ones are on Kamitori ( this is...More

The most spacious shopping area I have ever seen in Japan. Not very crowded when we visited during a Tuesday afternoon and evening in April 2018. Nice mix of shops and restaurants so we had little trouble finding things we were interested in.

You are asking about a street within the city of Kumamoto. If the cruise lets you get off and see the city, then you can visit it.

What are you going to do in Kisshoji Temple on 21? Other 3 in Kitakyushu is within walking distance from Kokura station. How are you going to Kisshoji? Seems too much on 23 in Nagasaki. Its technically possible, but it won't be practical for pleasure travel.
