If you’re visiting Kagoshima, riding this tram is a must. There are many kinds and colours, and may seem old-style, but that nostalgic feeling is worthwhile.

Definitely get a ticket and ride the tram. A great way to see part of the city centre from the train station to downtown.. It is cheap and fun. Highly recommend giving it a try.

I took the Tram from Kagoshima Chuo station to the station near the Sakurajima port. Travel around Kagoshima is easy with these trams.
