Use bus day pass or Kagoshima day or two day pass to visit several spots in Sakurajima Island. Short stops for an overview and than, later, pick where to stay longer.

I took this tour in May 2017. I was there late, in the day and I guess the bus pictured in the advertisement wasn't available. Instead they've put there a rickety city bus. That was disappointing. Look at my photos. The trip near volcano is...More

If your low on time and or money this is for you. Beware, it can be crowded and rushed. They do provide additional buses when needed.

You can get off at any stop and ride again to catch the next if you have time. If you do not have time, just keep on riding it for one hour to enjoy just short stop(5 -10 minutes depending on the place).

The bus was overcrowded. It was hard to see from the seats. Some tourists had to stand. We were afraid of losing our seats so did not get off at all viewpoints.

This bus provided a convenient way for tourists to travel around all the famous points in Sakurajima. The driver was nice and helpful. Really worthy to take this.

It takes almost 50min but the route is not very large. It's good to see the most important spots but if you like a bigger route you have to take another bus.

Very convenient and efficiently organised. It gives one a good taste of the island. However, you will want to do a little more and explore further if you really like Sakurajima. Allow some time for it.
