Read about this park via the internet, visited a park on a weekday and was lucky enough to see the many cherry blossom trees that line the park in full bloom. Prior to entering the park, one can see the ruins of what looks like a castle - which adds a nice touch when taking pictures. In the centre of... More

It is a must visit if you want to see the full blossom of Sakura. The park is set in the old city ruin.

We went during the start of spring and there were very pretty cherry blossoms on the trees. The area is sprawling with lots of grass and trees. The cool weather and sunlight make for a very nice and relaxing day with the family. There were not a lot of crowd during the time we went to the area as not... More

At a sunny autumn afternoon, this park is quiet and lovely. The remain stone wall of Fukuoka castle and ginkgo and maple trees constitute a beautiful scenery. Although the main building of Fukuoka castle did not reconstruct, this place still worth your visit. It just next to Ohori park and Fukuoka Art Museum. Take a walk and just relax.

Part of Ohori park and can be viewed from the top of the Fukuoka Castle ruins, there were picnickers, school groups, male singers, and plenty of cherry blossoms!

Really ruined so probably not worth going. Just a walk through of the whole place. Not much explanation along the way too.

Next to Ohori, worth a stroll in if you're going to visit but unless you're coming during cherry blossom season really does not have much to see and nature-wise Ohori has more to offer. The Fukuoka castle ruins are here , but also not that impressive.
