This is just across from Fukuoka tower and Fukuoka dome. There Is a nice paved path to walk, run or bike along the path. There are also some good, shaded areas on the beach and off the path. It's not crowded, especially during the week. Water is nice in the summer and there is an adequate area for swimming or... More

Located right off of Fukuoka Tower is a little beach filled with vendors and a ferry dock. Lockers and showers are available for day use and it is all along a jogging/walking/bike path running parallel to the water. Several restaurants were hopping and one even had little toy cars that kids could drive to entertain themselves while waiting for food.... More

This is right next to the ferry terminal. Fun to see a clean beach with teams working out in the sand

Just a touristy spot with lots of restaurants, bars and pubs. Also have a small beach. Good to see the coastal lines but only visit if you are also dropping by Fukuoka Tower.

With the views dominated by Fukuoka Tower and the baseball dome, the boardwalks over the sand alongside food stalls and changing views made for a pleasant afternoon walk. We saw the baseball team doing training runs up and down the sand, fitness groups working out, hawks having competitions; it was a good way to unwind from a day's sightseeing.

It was not too hard to find this beach from a subway station (about 15 mins walk). Water was still bit cold to go in during the last week of May, but the water was nice and clean. We had fun time playing with the seaweeds on the shore ;)

close to home, it is the course of the walk. It is a beautiful artificial coast. People even less, you can relax.

Do dress warm as it gets cold near the seaside. The architecture of the building is unique. A getaway from the city of hakata.

... Very quaint and a nice place to go on a romantic date (with the Fukuoka Tower just across the street). There aren't too many shops, but if you're there during the day-time, you ought to try the Blue Seal Ice Cream shop (American-style ice cream brand created in Okinawa). It's awesome. Parking isn't free, but then again, nothing is... More
