It was rain season when I went here, so going thru the various shops, eateries, etc. while it rained outside was a good way to spend the day. The fourth floor had great Japanese cuisine to try. Got a few cute items to bring back to the States. Even had movie theater inside.

There are a lot of local stores and restaurants to explore. This is definitely not over crowded with tourists, and a good place to get a feel for the real deal.

Nice place and we all enjoyed. Good Japanese and European and American brands. Also surrounded by nice restaurants. Good for a rainy day

Nothing great. Usual shopping experience with variety of shops. Go only when you have time to spare. Over rated and over hyped.

Visited for the poorly named ramen stadium and found a mall with a food court nothing wrong but nothing very special. There is an extensive arcade so probably good for families.

City under city. A must watch thing. You can't imagine where r u. Every thing is there you wish for. Food courts are in numbers. But not for vegetarian people.

Passed through Canal City while walking from our hotel near Hakata Station to Tenjin. It's just a typical huge mall with all the ubiquitous brands you see elsewhere plus some local brands. Nice water feature but really didn't stay long enough to see the fountain show, if there were any at that time. Nice place to chill if you have... More

Canal City celebrates its 20th anniversary this year so for a mall that old it seems a little bit dated and even faded in some areas. Still it's a pleasant place to shop, with so many types of stores under one roof, and a cinema too. Don't miss Ramen Stadium and the newer annex where some of the big fashion... More

Usual brands and shops are located at this place such as H&M, Uniqlo etc... There are also some restaurants. We tried Tempura that was very yummy.

This gigantic muti-buildings complex has almost everything a traveller needs. Ramen, sushi, bbq, a la carte, western food, shopping (jillion shops), game centre, ice cream parlour, hotel. Also very close to Hakata station about 10 minute walk.
