Make sure to have a reservation first. Since we didn't have a local number, we went to the Hakata Station information and asked them to call and make a reservation for us. The lady in the counter was very helpful! We needed an english tour and the only time available for that day was at 10:30 am. Fortunately, it is... More

We walked in one afternoon without an appointment, and the receptionist was kind enough to allow us to join a Japanese speaking tour. We were each provided with an audio system so that we could essentially follow what was happening. Do make an appointment for an english speaking tour if you are able to - its really worth it! We... Can't believe we could have such a professional tour and beer tasting session for free. We went for Japanese tour as we couldn't get English tour during golden week. But we had audio device with several languages including English. No photo taking in the factory itself but u can take picture at the beer appreciation area. The staffs are also... More

We went for the English tour which our hotel called one day in advance to help us reserve. Rather easy access. Took a JR train from Hakata to Takeshita station and walk like 3 minutes. They have asahi signage to follow. Clear and informative beer making process and see some interesting factory automation. Finale with 3 types of beer to... More

Informative free tour of the brewery- if you can't catch an English speaking guide there are audio head sets available. Free beer to taste at the conclusion for about 20 mins.

Free beer is a big plus of course. I bought pink sakura beer for my friends and they loved it. Worth to visit.

Unlike Qingdao Brewery in China, the enteracne fees are not required here. You can learn a lot about beer from A to Z. Also, you can drink three glasses of beer (different tastes) with a little side dish free of charge. Whenever I get there, I buy eatables which go well with beer.

From memory our tour was around 9.30am... nice & early. It lasted about 30 minutes and there was only 4 people total in our group. The tour was very informative however the best part, of course, is drinking the fresh, cold, Asahi at the end of the tour. I've always enjoyed Asahi but fresh from the brewery takes it to... More

My husband and I got the concierge at the hotel to call the brewery to book us on an English tour (please do remember to book the tour at least a day in advance if possible) and we were advised by her to take a cab there as its location is a little off the beaten path. We got to... More

The brewery is a little ways away from Hakata and Tenjin stations so we had a bit of difficulty trying to find our way here but we were still able to make it on time. They have organized tours in different languages (Korean and English were available) and the tour isn't too long. I thought the tour was interesting but... More
