The Fukuoka tower is a great place to get a view of the city, depending on the weather. Probably not worth if very cloudy or rainy, but ok the day we went. Entrance fee is discounted 20% for foreigners, we paid 640 Yen each. Reasonable value compared with observation towers in other cities. There is also a whole floor dedicated... More

Good view, but I think I would have been happy just looking from the outside... The lights are extraordinary.

Fukuoka Tower is really just a big empty tower built to make a monument for Fukuoka. Besides the view from the top of the tower, I don't think it is that amazing or special. It is nice to go at night and see the lights of the city fro above, as well seeing the tower lit up for christmas or... More

At the top of this 234m tower you get an excellent view over Hakata Bay and this part of Fukuoka. We were even fortunate enough to have a visit from Godzilla who had scaled the lofty height :) The 3D image looked so real! Definitely worth the visit. It is a bit of a distance out from the main city... More

Similar to Seattle Space Needle only much more budget friendly! Several bench seats in the lobby to relax & have a snack. There's also a restaurant at the top. Great views of the sea and city, even on a rainy day. For lovers, there's a special floor; you can purchase a lock to mark your visit that you lock onto... More

The Fukuoka tower is one of the very few tall buildings in Fukuoka and for that you will get a panoramic view of the bay area. If you are looking for other activities around the area, there is a small arcade and convenience stores nearby but that pretty much sums it up.

It's nice and gives a view how city was protected against Mongolians in 13th century. Still "only" 125 m in height does not make it that tall. Well an experience and fun.

Fukuoka tower is one of must visit places in Fukuoka. The tower has a different style of light up at night that always changes in every season or occasion. The most beautiful light up is during the Christmas season in December. The tower has a promotion that if you visit the tower during your birthday, you can get a free... More

We were on a limited time schedule while in Japan but we were able to visit the Fukuoka Tower. The tower was nice. A bit pricey for the amount of time it takes to go through it but nice. What we enjoyed more than the tower was the beach/park directly in front of the tower. And it was free!

We went on the tower during the day we had a nice view of the whole of Fukuoka but we think this is a nicer trip at nightime.
