A tower like this is actually pretty generic (and the restaurant is a must to avoid.) But the location, right by the beach, is great... It's possible to stay in Fukuoka for days without realizing you're by the sea, and here you really appreciate the beach and the beach culture.

What a magnificent view of the city of Fukuoka. We hired a taxi with an English speaking driver to take us around to the tourist attractions in Fukuoka. It was a great way to enjoy the sights.

The tower's light changes to different colors. Tourists get discount when they present their passports. The view deck offers a great view of Fukuoka at night. I bet it's also great to visit during daytime in order to see the water and mountains surrounding the place. There is also a restaurant located a floor lower that has reasonable prices but... More

This is a cool respite on a very hot July day with fine views all over Fukuoka. Information on the center wall is helpful and viewing machines are available.

Look well, look twice! An interesting study of lines and cubes. Look at the illusion of the mirrored tower. Looks like four standing rectangles.

Fukuoka Tower is a 234m tall tower located in the bay-side Momochihama area of Fukuoka and is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. The main observation deck is 123m above the ground and there is a a café/lounge on the deck below this. The tower affords really great views of both the city and the bay area and islands and... I visited the tower during the star festival hoping to get a glimpse of the 5 minute illumination supposedly scheduled and was disappointed as it did not start on time, nor was there any indication of when it will begin. The food and ambience was great though! There were many food stalls set up around the grounds in front of... More

This is a wonderful experience in Fukuoka and you should visit if you are there nearby. As this tower is located near to the sea, you can enjoy the view of the city on one side and sea on the other side. There is a restaurant on the top floor. If you visit to this place near to your birth... More

While staying in Hilton Sea Hawk hotel, we had a good view of the Fukuoka Tower from our room window. The tower is 123 metres high with a panoramic view of the city. There are many shops at the ground floor. The view from the top deck is excellent.
