和歌山城西の丸にある庭園に近く、市役所や県庁のバス停留所にも隣接しています。一階は観光案内所とお土産物売り場です。南方熊楠氏や松下幸之助翁など、和歌山県出身の有名人に関する品々を集めて展示しています。

和歌山城内の一角にわかやま歴史館があります、綺麗な建物です。
１階は、観光案内所とお土産売り場。
２階は、歴史展示室となっていて、小規模ですが和歌山の歴史が学べます。
松下幸之助氏が和歌山出身とは初めて知りました。
養翠園の茶室も興味深いものでした。

観光バス駐車場近く

和歌山城の天守閣に登り紅葉渓庭園のほうを回ってからこちらに来ました。観光バス駐車場の近くです。紀州藩時代が中心かと思って中に入りました。和歌山出身の著名人の展示があり、こちらも楽しめました。松下幸之助や南方熊楠などが和歌山出身とは知りませんでした。雑賀衆の歴史はここでしか見ることができないものかもと思いました。

紀州徳川家伝来の金印

和歌山城の観光バスなどの駐車場の横にある建物で、規模が中途半端。紀州徳川家伝来の金印は必見ですが、水戸や尾張のような徳川美術館があると良いと思いました。1階はお土産店や観光案内所、2階がわかやま歴史館ですが、観光客を呼ぶために作られた感が強くしました。

コンパクトに和歌山の歴史を学べる、わかやま歴史館

和歌山城の広い敷地の中にあります。１階が観光案内所と土産物店、２階がわかやま歴史館になっています。和歌山城天守に入るとそのチケットで入館できますが、歴史館単独で入る場合は大人100円の入場料が必要です。歴史館自体、そんなに広くないで、さっと見て回れます。コンパクトに和歌山城の歴史を学べます。

観光バス駐車場の一角にある資料館です。

１階がお土産屋で２階に有る歴史館、入館料は100円です。ここでお勧めしたいのは、和歌山城の在りし日（幕末の少し前位）のＣＧです。時間は１０分位ですが、こんなに大きかったのかと実感します。他にも資料を展示しているので、ゆっくりと見ていってください。

博物館？違うの？

観光施設の中に博物館施設のようなところが含まれていて展示や映像が見られます。主に和歌山城と和歌山に所縁のある人に関するものですが、結構見応えがあります。お土産物のコーナーやフードを食べられるところもあります。

歴史展示室&土産物店

和歌山城の西の丸広場にあり、2階が歴史展示室、1階が土産物店になっています。歴史展示室は和歌山城天守閣の入場券が共通になっていますので、改めて入場券を買う必要はありません。入場券を見せると、和歌山名物のグリーンソフトが30円引きで購入できるようになっていました。
