Joined the half day tour on 19 Nov and I would say the guide is Makiko is a good guide who is very detailed in her explanation in introducing the attractions around Nara. This is despite some unforeseen circumstances where some of the participants were late and uncontactable. Makiko is still professional in conducting the tour. Will definitely recommend the company.

We visited Nara for the day from Osaka and spent the morning on the Nara Classic tour with the wonderful Yachiyo, our tour guide. The tour was absolutely wonderful - taking in some of the best sights of Nara along with some incredibly detailed and explanations as to the meaning behind the sights. The visit would have been no where near as insightful or enjoyable without the tour and we would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

I went on an amazing tour of Nara led by one of the kindest souls I’ve met while here in Japan. Yachiyo was knowledgeable, attentive, and とてもかわいい (very cute). Her presence and aura was warm and pleasant and the clear amount of effort she gave was admirable. Plenty of opportunities to feed deer and admire the shrines and temples. 100% recommend Yachiyo.

We had a wonderful time on the Afternoon old town walking tour with Mamiko! She taught us loads about the local area and Japanese culture, we'd highly recommend this tour. The sake tasting at the end was also great!

We took a private tour of top sights in Nara for 4 hours. Our tour guide, Makiko, spoke English extremely well and had quite a few jokes. She was extremely knowledgeable about the sights, history, and culture. She also knew the answers to most questions we could think of and offered thoughtful shopping and food recommendations. Being in a private tour was particularly convenient as Makiko would even find the best restrooms for a quick break. She also ensured that we knew how to be respectful in the different places we visited. She had Biscuits for feeding the deers ready for us, she offered us snacks, and she pointed out really interesting things that we would not have been able to learn without her.

We just finished a 4 hour private tour of Nara with Noriko Ueda (Daisy), and it was amazing! She was such a wonderful guide, so kind and warm and knowledgeable. We visited four main temples and shrines in Nara with several stops along the way to see unique woodworking, get our names written in calligraphy, and more. She was adaptive to our interests and even added on a sake tasting to the tour on the fly. She was very generous with her time, and took extra time with us. She also shared amazing recommendations both in Nara and Osaka where we are staying. Her passion, kindness, generosity, warmth, and genuineness really made this tour so memorable and really the best we have had in Japan. I am so happy we got to connect with her. Thank you Daisy!!

Went on a 3 hour walking tour with Kay on 31 March 2023. Kay was very friendly and had a great sense of humour. She had an amazing amount of knowledge and had lots of extra information available in various folders in her bag.

We did a five hour walking tour of Nara with Makiko, with my 3 children (11, 8 & 4). The tour took all the worry out of knowing where to go, and included so much information. Makiko spoke excellent English and was incredibly patient and friendly with the children. She generally made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly highly recommended.

We had a wonderful tour with Mayumi today who helped us see the beauty of Nara not only with our eyes but also with the history behind! Mayumi was a great guide and gave us ideas of what to do next and also showed us nice restaurants. We clearly recommend Nara walk!

I am so glad I booked this walking tour with Reiko-san as the host. I had no idea how much Nara had to offer and would have been totally overwhelmed without taking this tour with the sweetest and so knowledgeable Reiko-san. There was a lot of walking involved but you get to see and experience the best Nara has to offer with Reiko guiding you thru to the temples, shrines and of course the guardian deer of Nara. Reiko makes sure you are enjoying yourself throughout and will even offer you a little snack for yourself and for the deer and you will find yourself making conversations with her like you’re walking and hanging out with a friend and not part of a tour group. Can I also say how smart and fun Reiko is - she’s a polyglot knowing not just Japanese and English, but Madarin and Korean too! Please take this walking tour if you plan to visit Nara, it was such a great time and experience with Reiko!

Is it possible to meet the group at Todai-ji temple instead of JR station? We may be staying far from the station but closer to Nara Park. We can look for the Nara Walk flag and meet the group close to the entrance if possible. Thank you!

Nara Park Classic Tour starts at 10:00 am everyday. Duration: around 3 hours. The meeting point: in front of the ticket gate of JR Nara Station. 3,000 yen per person, including entrance fee of Todaiji Temple. No reservation is required. If you would like to take a private tour, you will need to book in advance. If you join our daily walking tour, it is not necessary to book the tour in advance and you can start our regular tour called "Nara Park Classic Tour" leaving JR. Nara station at 10:00am. Sorry, we are not a hotel, but a group of tour guides. For your information, the airport bus costs 2,050 yen per person from Kansai International Airport(KIX), and it takes 90 minutes to come to Nara.
