Beside the Todai-ji temple you have a wonderful park area. You can take a break from the thousands of tourist..enjoy a walk and if you are interested in feeding the deers ..its the right place to come.

Nara's park is a beautiful place where to see georgous temples and dears, it is peaceful and looks amazing during autumn or the cherry blossom season. Highly recommend.

Deers are there all the time though the year and winter time is very cold but very beautiful. If you have snow that will be a bonus!!

As the park is an open area, I don't think it could be closed. However, when darkness falls, people would start moving out & most if not all the tourist sites would begin to close for the night. I guess it would be deserted... More
