Typical japanese garden with calm atmosphere. Loved it so much, and its very cheap if you buy the combined ticket with the himeji castle (40 yen)

After the castle visit, we visited the garden. Full of flora and fauna in this small garden. There is a restaurant within grounds that offer a good view.

Beautiful and peaceful gardens. Is a must see. Wanted to see this gardens since I was a kid. Just wonderful. Sit down and enjoy the views of the castle, the trees, the water. Amazing!

The gardens are breathtaking. In the fall the leaves are on fire. Try getting there slightly before 1:15 and watch for a man with a bucket. Follow him, he is feeding the massive koi. What a treat.

This is not one garden but many individual gardens. Each garden is walled so they are clearly defined. Purchase a combine castle garden ticket.

It is open only during daylight hours according to its website. That was certainly the case when we visited it.
