I went to Taiyo with a group of friends. Some of the reproductions of historic sites were fun to see but the best part was taking the 3d pics. Bc of all the pics you'll want to take, make sure you don't go alone! We spent about 2 hours walking through the castle and taking pictures and then had to breeze through the reproduction sites, so make sure you give yourself enough time (the park is spread out so there's a lot of walking too!)

Getting there: Shinki bus from Himeji station area. Take the 35 or 43 bus. Ride the bus for 30 minutes. When you see the castle on the hill, you are almost there. Get off at either Midoridai or Uchikoshi. The info center at the bus station can give you a map and if you ask the bus driver he will tell you where to get off.

We are from Australia and visited with our son and his family who are living in the area. Found the castle fascinating a great afternoon out. We could have stayed longer but didn't realize there was so much to see. The park is like a journey around the world. the terracotta soldiers were great as was the pyramid and temple at the top. Lovely man made us feel very welcome, was a very peaceful spot to linger. (if you don't have toddlers with you.) The boys loved it and raced around getting stamps at each spot. I would recommend it to anyone who likes something a little different.

Where we parked was next to a baseball field and on the opposite side of the road to the castle. The main park area was a few hundred meters further down the road. It was confusing and there seemed to be few signs or people to ask. The Neuschwanstein castle replica is very impressive from the outside. There is a monorail which takes visitors to the castle entrance. Like the real castle in Bavaria, there is not much to see inside and hardly worth it. The rest of the park is amazing. Replicas of the Terracotta Army. the Forbidden City, Easter Island statues, etc. Just go and see!!

I chance upon this park on the internet when searching for attractions in Himeji. It is not very accessible and so we drove there. It is a very fun and educational park for kids. We went to there with 3 young kids and we spent almost the whole day there. There are 2 areas to the park, the castle area and the outdoor stone area (which has most of the attractions). The castle is beautiful and grand and a monorail will take you up the hill to the castle. The view from the castle is nice. Most part of the attractions within the castle is 3-D image museum like the Trick Eye Museum and Alive Museum in Singapore. It is a little disappointing as we are expecting something more grand and magnificent from the look of the exterior of the castle. But nevertheless, the kids had fun posing for pictures. Visit can be done within an hour. Lunch is available at a restaurant on the second floor of the main building at the entrance. The food is great and good serving portion.

The outdoor stone area of the park is much more fun and the entire area is very big. We spent almost 3 hours there, climbing all the way along the "Great Wall of China" to the peak where the Twin Pagodas are located. There is a replica of the Terracottas Army site from China, although not as big as the real one, but it is magnificent enough for us. There are quite a few other attractions like the Pyramids of Egypt, the Paris’ Arc De Triomphe, the Incan Sun Pyramid, Tiananmen etc. There are many stone statues along the park including the Statue of Liberty and the Merlion.

Will rate as 5 Stars if the interior of the castle is more interesting. But do visit if you have time to spare in Himeji.

I guess not many foreign tourists know about this place, Perhaps its beccause the area is quite remote. Quite far from train station (extra taxi is 's of famous statues around the world. Here you can expect to see replicas of Terracota soldier and the great wall of China, Merlion of Singapore, little statue of Liberty from USA, also plenty statues from Mexico, A refreshing trip in my opinion

most people don't know about this place cause it's tucked away in the countryside but you should stop by here if you've never been! I drove here from Hiroshima with my wife & we enjoyed ourselves very much! more of a place for couples or large groups but I did see a few people there alone. you can read info on other countries, and take cool 3 D pics! an example one I took was of a t Rex coming out of a portrait trying to catch me. you can also dress up in original clothes from other countries as you walk around! they also have souvenir shops. make up you bring something to drink along cause no vending machines in this place but they have a bread shop and cafe downstairs before you get on the lift.

We were doing a road trip to Hiroshima from Kyoto when we spotted from the Sanyo Express way a stunning European looking castle sitting on a hill over in the far distance. We were determined to go check it out on our return drive back to Kyoto.

I must admit it was difficult to find at first but once we did find it we were so impressed at this family friendly theme park.

Not only is there a lifestyle replica of the beautiful Neuschwannstein Castle but the castle is filled with props and illusions to create 3D photo's it was so much fun and I still chuckle every time I look at our photos. The ride up to the castle is also by monorail which was an added highlight.

Unfortunately because of the cold wet weather we didn't get to explore the other side of the park that also looked amazing from what we could see.

What really blew us away was the customer service, the staff were so friendly and helpful the work that they do there is very heart touching.

We were also fortunate to have some lunch on the second floor (I will attach a picture) what came out was the most picture perfect, delicious traditional Japanese food that I have ever eaten.

I will definitely recommend anyone in the area to go visit Taiyo Park, it is well priced (actually a bargain really), fun for all ages, we are so glad we got to fit this into our visit to Japan.

Dear ChrystalElizabeth Thank you for sharing your review with us. Because I do not understand English, it is translation on the Internet. If there is rudeness, I'm sorry. The Management and Staff would like to thank you for the wonderful comments. Taiyo-Park was established as the working place for a person with disabilities. We created a new welfare like never seen anyone yet. We would like the cooperation of all of you. We look forward to next visiting. Thank you very much!!!!!!!! Taiyo Park

The castle is pretty cool!! Inside is full of 3D images you can place yourself in to look real. Take a good camera, and have fun. Kids LOVED it!! Then there is a secondary part of the park which is equally awesome! There are famous statues world wide that are extremely good replicas. Highly recommend. A hidden gem really.

Taiyou Koen is absolute. Taiyou Koen is all. Taiyou Koen is a gaudy attraction that wasn't really supposed to be for tourists. The story goes a local philantropist decided to bring the world to the doorstep of the folks living in the assisted living homes next door.

A series of statues and reproductions of world wonders await you. See the Statue of Liberty, Arc de Triomphe, Sea Lion, and the Great Wall all in an hour!

A little hard to get to without some Japanese, not to mention a bit of a ride, but well worth the time!

There are weekend fairs where local vendors sell off their second hand junk and you can rent a costume for international cosplay.

After you're done, be sure to go to the trick art museum in the reproduction German castle next to the park.

I'm a bit speechless by this place. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon but the place has no consistent theme and it's a bit run down. Overall, it's worth it if you are in the area as the price tag isn't too steep. I won't say more , as it would ruin the surpise.
