True Japanese experience through the food in a great company of Mitch! The tour went very smooth, from the first moment I felt like in a company of good friends enjoying Tokyo and sharing food and stories. Mitch has very good English and answered all the questions, he led the tour in a well-balanced manner and we finished on time. First time in my life I tried white strawberries and fatty tuna in sashimi, also saw the whole tuna itself! Overall, a very unique experience, which I highly recommend.

Great Tour throughout a variation of popular places and izakya's. The Tourguide Atsushi was great. He gave context where the different names of the districts of Shinjuku came and showed me how to properly act at an shrine.

Hide was a fantastic guide who took us to 3 different locations to sample Japanese food. Be warned: don’t eat lunch beforehand as the amount of food at the last restaurant especially was staggering! He took us off the tourist trail to where locals enjoy their food so be prepared to EAT! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mihori is very nice and a great guide - it was a wonderful experience to explore the fish market with her. She made sure to cater to our wishes and interests and she is very knowledgeable about the local foods. I highly recommend the tour!

Gucci was both a knowledgeable and fun tour guide! I loved the mini stops that we took us along the way to show us unique views of the city or popular shops in the Ginza area. The food was also delicious and was food I wouldn’t have ever tried without the tour! Worth every penny!

I have worked with Urban Adventures on other cities, so I know they always do a great job. Their people in Tokyo are no exception! From planning my trip with Noriko in the office (who was always patient with my evolving plans and ready with a suggestion or an idea) to our tour leaders Yoshi (cultural curiosities tour), Seishi (temple and shrine tour), Mitch (fish market tour), and Yuko (Shinjuku nightlife/drinks tour), nothing about this experience disappointed! Having a knowledgeable, English-speaking guide makes all the difference in a country as culturally and linguistically different to my own (USA) as Japan. Even in countries that are more familiar to me, UA guides help me to find hidden gems, relax, and enjoy the tour. I will definitely use them again!

Incredible tour! Our guide Hide was so lovely & it’s the best way to experience the truly authentic local places. We got to try lots of different foods (& they were very accommodating of me being a vegetarian) and different alcohol whilst learning a lot about the Shinjuku area. I’d really recommend it during your stay in Tokyo! A lot of fun and great value for money!

Hide-san would have to be the best guide in Tokyo. He provided my husband and I with a genuine authentic culinary experience throughout various establishments around Tokyo that we would never have found by ourselves. We were the only non-locals in every restaurant we visited. Hide has an excellent knowledge of the local and traditional cuisine and is also very knowledgeable on Japanese history. He went out of his way to show us various attractions and sites after our food tour had finished. A genuinely nice guy that we thoroughly enjoyed our time with. We will book with him again if we are ever back in Tokyo. Thank you Hide-san.

Firstly, may I say that Urban Adventures was one of our favorite tour adventures in the past. Planning a glorious post pandemic week in Japan was something we've dreamed of for 2 long years.
I was so excited to book several tours through Urban Adventures. I am devastated that they canceled all 3 of our booked tours days before our arrival.
Surely they knew they could not fulfill their bookings. To cancel with less than a weeks notice is unconscionable in today's business market.
Poorly done Urban Adventures. We won't be back.

Aki was our guide. It has been wonderful memories and broaden our horizons by learning so many interesting information from Aki.
