We visited Kegon fall during December. We took the lift to go to the bottom of the fall. There is tunnel to walk through to reach the bottom of the fall after the lift. There are 2 levels observation decks. Great view to see the fall from the bottom. We are lucky to spot the rare animal (not sure what... More

Okay views, but not amazing. There are plenty of nice countries to visit if you want to see spectacular waterfalls, but this isn't particularly nice. Worth a visit if you team it with Lake Chuzenji and maybe a longer hike.

The height of the waterfall is pretty impressive. However as the visitor can't get to the bottom of the waterfall, the sensation can only be felt from a far distant. If only the visitors can feel the water splash at the bottom, the waterfall would certainly feel more majestic. During winter, the water discharge is much less and thus making... More

I am not sure why there is so much of buzz around this fall. This is just another waterfall there are many other great falls like Yudaki Waterfall which is accessible and you can go almost below the falls. This is just OK. If you are in Nikko - i would recommend Yudaki falls, Chuzenji and Yuno lake which is... More

Amazing natural surroundig with a few waterfalls arriving to the same valley. Don't miss to go down the elevator to the lower level, getting a fantastic wiev and atmpshere.

Family friendly especially for young children and old folks, just a short walk from the bus station.

I was up to see the Nikko shrine and since the falls were so close we stopped to take a look. Firstly, there are a bunch of food stands as your approach the main building where the elevator is. Make sure you stop and have some local fair, great snacks are available. The take in the wonderful view of the... More

It was a cold day and chilly. But it was beautiful and inspiring. We stopped by a stand selling baked hot corns. They were nice and sweet, keeping us warm. Wished they would sell hot cocoa there. Bus ride was fun and comfortable. We followed i ro ha, Japanese alphabet, when the bus turned the winding road. Would like to... More

We took the bus there early in the morning, with a spectacular trip up the mountain. The falls are spectacular and worth the lift to the lower viewing platform. Worth going early to see the falls without crowds as it is a popular area. There are sporty things to do int he area, but definitely worth the bus trip and... More

These falls are located in Nikko National Park around 180 kilometers from Tokyo. We did a day trip to this place along with Tobu World Square on the way. These falls are very beautiful. There are local Japanese eateries around the falls, which are really tasty. Although the fall is free, but there is a paid access which takes you... More
