2,800 yen for adults. Quite a big park to walk about and admire the mini sized architectures. There’s is winter illumination after sunset during autumn and winter. If you look close enough you will find special characters in different “sites”. However, some sites are lacking a bit of maintenance as you could see the paints and conditions of the “sites/sights” are deteriorating.

A good way to spend with children, showing them the different structures and natures of the world. It gets pretty excited when viewing those exhibitions/countries that we have been. It took up the whole day while there as we travelled from Nikko. Therefore, be prepared to spend a day there. The quality of the miniatures were very good. It was very detailed. We took a lot of photos. It's worth to visit this attraction.
Note, if you have a 4-day All Nikko Pass, you can get a discount at the entrance. Remember to show your pass.

I love to travel and after seeing all of the miniature monuments in the theme park, I realized I have not travelled enough. This theme park is full of famous landmarks and it’s great to get a bird’s eye view of each. Enough effort is done to show all the details of the real thing. The miniature human figurines add life to it. Those small bonsai trees are done to scale and I am amazed at how much care the park staff would have spent to tend to those. My daughter said there are 20,000 bonsai trees in the park.

We spent a lot of time photo shooting. Keep in mind to have a human person in the picture to get a sense of scale, otherwise you cannot tell it’s a miniature. My friend took picture in front of the miniature Himeji Castle and then we went to visit the real castle couple of days later. The 2 photos look so similar it’s hard to tell which is real except by looking at the surrounding.

Since most trees are miniature bonsais, there is little shade in the park. So wear your hat if you intend to spend 2 to 3 hours there in a sunny day.

The street side entrance has a stand equipped for taking picture with your smartphone using timer, don’t miss that.

Our family of 5 travelled from Asakusa (at 8am) on the Spacia train. It took about 2 hours but the train was very comfortable. We brought along food and snacks for the train trip, and then slept some of the way. The Spacia train took us straight to Nikko where we transferred onto a local bus that took about 5 minutes to get to the Tobu World Square.
Note, although we had a JR Pass, there was no quick or easy way to get to Nikko, so we had to purchase the Tobu Rail pass (http://www.tobu.co.jp/foreign/spacia/index.html).

The quality and detail of the miniature structures were very impressive. Our kids (8, 8, 10) were thoroughly entertained. Lots of photo spots too. You can also buy a 'card' where you slot into the machines and see some movements on the structures. One interesting interactive to see is American Gate where the water level moves up and down allowing the ships to move from one level of the water to another.

Our favorite was the old Japan area where we saw miniature structures of many of the temples and shrines we visited on our Japan trip. Unfortunately we didn't have time left in the day to visit any other tourist attractions in Nikko, nevertheless we were very satisfied with Tobu World Square. Next time we may have to stay 2-3 nights in Nikko.

We travelled in May 2014.

I had a lot of fun there, the replicas are amazing, so much detail it's really impressive.
It's a bit expensive, but I had the Nikko Pass which gave me a 1000yen discount, so it was a good deal.
I was planning to spend a couple of hours there but ended up staying over 3 hours, I lost count of the time. Lots of great photo opportunities. I'm just sad they don't have a South America part.
It's right next to the station, so very easy to find. If you're travelling by local train like I was, be aware of the train timetable. I missed my train and the local trains don't run very often, I would have to wait almost 2 hours for the next train, so I ended up having to buy a ticket for the express train to Asakusa, which was some extra cost I wasn't expecting.
It's definitely worth a visit.

I thought this was going to be kitschy, but it was really great. The park is much bigger than you might expect. I spent two hours wandering. Even when you see a recreation, you can look closer at the tiny people and see some interesting things (like a robber/cop shoot out in New York). Also the twin towers brought back memories. Highly recommended.

There are 3 restaurants in the park, a ramen cafeteria, one family restaurant and a japanese restaurant. We did the japanese one and they serve really good cold soba.
Before you go, please print out the 500 yen discount coupon from their website. We tried to do the 'save the trees' thing with the staff and showed them the coupon from our mobile phone but they don't accept it. Otherwise, do pick up the red 200 yen discount coupon from your hotel or restaurants when you see it.
Impressive range of display and their attention to details was particularly noteworthy. Good to note the figurines, they have very purposeful actions and the 'trees' which they painstakingly trimmed and crafted.
For kids, I think you could buy a play card at the machines at the display grounds, which the kids can slot the card in at various displays and it will come to life with music etc. The kids had fun and spent about 3 hours there.

The miniatures found in this location have been given great attention: from the color, to how the structures have been scaled, it is obvious that a lot of work has been made in completing the entire park.
The landmarks are arranged into clusters according to continent. I personally admire the Asian group the most, for it's many temples. I also adore how they have incorporated moving mini-dolls, trains and even airplanes onto the scaled constructions.
Minor drawback: Labels and descriptions are written primarily in Japanese; only the miniatures' names are romanized. Also, the "puppet performance" at the globe near the entrance is spooky - the park could definitely do away with that (LOL).
What to bring: cameras (of course), and umbrellas for hot days (shade is scarce is this park).
