This area is in the Nikko World Heritage Site and composed of many temples and shrines like you never seen before. Amazing how they built this in the mountains. Loads of tourist on bus day trips from Tokyo. Be prepared to walk and some areas...More

This large shrine was built in the honor of the Shogun. It is a colourful, sprawling construction, with rich and beautiful details each and every where you look. Worth to walk the entire area and make great photos. The main gate is just amazing .

The passage leading to the shrine from Tosho is breathtaking, but for non religious visitors that's probably the most charming part.
