This is an absolutely beautiful park with fountains, neat walkways, the Peace Arch, and the Memorial ship Mikasa. When I visited there was hardly anyone there so it was nice and quiet. I highly recommend this park in the Summer when it's not too cold out and you want to lie down to relax or read a book. (It might not be so quiet anymore with more people.) The parks back in my small town in California can't really compare. Enjoy the sea and get a breath of fresh air.

Yokosuka curry festival was held at Mikasa Park,
celebrating 150th anniversary of Yokosuka shipyard.
I ate 2 curries, which got prize in 2015, Furano
omelet curry and Mozi port curry. There were a lot
of curry stalls.

I enjoyed concert of Japan Self Defense Forces.

Keihin Kyuko sells Yokosuka gourmet ticket, that
indludes Keihin kyuko train and bus ticket and
restaurant coupon. From Shinagawa, 2,030yen,
from Yokohama, 1,930 yen.

I was stationed basically right next to the park for 3 years and it was always one of my favorite places to go after a good lunch and read and relax. They have an old Japanese Navy ship for the 1910s and numerous fountains to relax or stroll around. There were a few booths for food and drink, but I never used them. I visited here numerous times through 2007-2010, those dates just aren't available for the when I visited dropdown.

Very Close to US Fleet Activities Naval Base, this small park offers nice views of the harbor and some fountains. Worth a short walk if you're staying locally in a hotel and want to get outside.

Great place to run and play on a sunny day. Beautiful park, explore the ship, burn off energy, enjoy the waterfront.

Stumbled across a movie in the park and a reggae event right alongside the beautiful coastal view! Simply amazing!

Mines a park contains the Japanese battleship Mikasa. I would recommend checking it out if you have a love for history. I've been to it three times with different people.

I went here years ago. Within walking distance from the Navy Base. Wonderful View and history. Be prepared to see some Japanese style. Great place for pictures. Bathrooms are available and food stands. Great for a stroll or a job.

The World War I era Japanese battleship Mikasa is located here. It's a very interesting tour with many signs telling the story of her life, both in Japanese and English. It only takes about an hour to complete the tour and I found it very educational. The park has restrooms, a little store, and vending machines. You can also book a harbor tour that leaves from here. The walk to the park is also nice with streams and little waterfalls built into the sidewalk.

Just to clear this up for others the park to which this review is about is the area surrounding the ship and enclosing it. For reviews of the ship then Kinenkan Mikasa is what people should look at as they are two separate things to do.

This park is a large area with viewing of the harbour and Battleship Mikasa. There is also a old steam train on display with statues nearby and large open air areas with seating for relaxation.

You can access the battleship directly from the park for which you need to pay a fee once you step on board.
