Private Tour - Only an hour from the city?! Amazing Ocean View Hikes!

Museum, Seafood bowl, Ocean View from a lighthouse, Small ferry trip!<br><br>"Enjoying nature is a must do in Japan! Find the secret side of Yokosuka・Uraga where you can visit in 1h from Tokyo!<br>The highlight is a walking trip in ""Kannonzaki Park"" which has more spots than you can see in a day! You will walk between the ocean and mountains with the blue-green contrast. You can also enjoy the magnificent view of Tokyo Bay from a lighthouse!<br><br>What’s more, a modern museum and a restaurant serving seafood bowls in the park make it more than a “usual” walk.<br>On the way to the park, you will take a little boat, which makes your travel more special!<br>Let’s go on a walking trip you can feel the nature, of course with your otomo guide!"

Great place to run and play on a sunny day. Beautiful park, explore the ship, burn off energy, enjoy the waterfront.

We heard great things about the water and light show at Mikasa park, but every night for 3 days it was closed! No notice to the public either. Very saddening.

This is a great park to visit. There are many sculptures and water features both in the park and leading up to the park. There is a water fountain show to music every couple of hours- and at night they add colored lights. There is also a theater and often they will have music. The battleship Mikasa is there and open for tours. I did not take a tour but friends did and they enjoyed it very much. I’ve included a photo with the times if the water fountain show.

We recently stayed for 3 weeks overlooking Mikasa Park and it was beautiful to wake up to the view every morning. The park is well maintained and clean. There are numerous walking paths to enjoy that overlook the bay as well as lots of grassy areas and play areas for children. There is an outdoor ampitheater to enjoy music in the summertime. Just a short walk from Yokosuka Naval Base.

Although the MIKASA costs to enter, the park is free. There seem to be all sorts of events and exhibits rotating through this public space. Honestly, I was in a rush and so I only paid attention to the train and the ship. There's an historic locomotive in the park too. That said, naturally, the park is overshadowed by the Memorial Ship MIKASA. There's also a cool statue of Admiral Togo. Don't be shocked when you arrive to find that the MIKASA is actually sitting on land - it's no longer floating. Still, you can have great views of the bay and the harbor area.
