Beautiful view of Mt Fuji
Jan 2020
I would recommend coming here during winter to enjoy the sunset view of the Yokohama Skyline with Mt Fuji. It’s very beautiful! But it can be a bit windy.

Osanbashi

This cruising ship terminal location is very convenient. It is only few blocks to the city.
City bus loop named Red Shoe stops here, the pier is popular for city residents to take a walk or do jogging, the long Yamashita Park is just in sight full of visitors, the hotel where General MacArthur ever lived is just next to the Park, several blocks of walk can reach local subway station to Yokohama Station, airport bus stop.
Terminal workers are very helpful to move and load your luggage on Taxi.
A new terminal close to and next to Osanbashi terminal just opened in November 2019. It is called Hammerhead Terminal. Make sure your cruise terminal is which one before you go, but they are in sight of each other.
Osanbashi is a well designed, well maintained, spacious and convenient terminal, looks just like a park setting.

Amazing architecture design
Dec 2019 • Friends
The terminal is worth visiting just for it’s amazing architecture design. The architect cleverly designed the deck with teak and lawn to blend in with the nature, and created a relaxing and romantic ambiance.

Embarking on the Celebrity Millennium at the Passenger Terminal
Nov 2019
We arrived by taxi to the entrance to the Terminal. There was a line of porters with luggage carts waiting on the outside of the terminal to collect the luggage from the difference vehicles upon arrival.
The port has a series of large buildings. The Terminal that we were departing from had elevators and escalators to the upper floors. We enter the building with the porter and our luggage. The luggage was dropped off at the luggage collection point and we proceed to the second floor. There was open waiting area with plenty of seating. The boarding process was very fast and we were on the ship within an hour.

Nice vantage point of the city
Oct 2019
As others have said, a unique pier for sure. I think the best part is that from either standing on the dock, or within a 5 minute walk - you can get great pictures of the city and some of its historic buildings. Many photographers and pros milling around the dock area for great back drops and wonderful night time photos.

This is a nice port to sail from. We did Diamond Princess. Not sure who else sails from this terminal, but Diamond Princess seems to be the main one. TheY offer internet, which is a plus.

Japanese Hospitality
Sep 2019
My wife and I have just had an excellent cruise holiday in Japan.

We have been to many cruise holidays to many parts of the world but this was the first time we cruised around Japan. We were very impressed by the services provided by the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal in Yokohama in Japan and Japanese hospitality during our trip .

We checked in our cruise at The Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal at around 11am, for a departure at 5pm. We walked from the nearby underground station and before reaching the terminal, we were greeted by the terminal staff with a trolley well before we entered the terminal. The staff took our luggage to the check-in counter and within minutes they checked in our luggage and gave us a number for the formal check in. The staff did not accept any tips but were happy to help us. We then could spend our time freely, either going back to town or to browse around inside the terminal. In about half an hour we were checked in and then could go to our cabin. This reminds us of our bad experience in other cruise terminal where we had to line up under the sun for two hours before we could check in our luggage.

During our docking at various ports along the Japanese coast, we were greeted by the local tourism office with helpful staff, and in one of the ports, they even treated us with udon (a type of Japanese noodle) before returning to our ship, not wanting to sell us anything (they didn't have a stall to sell) but were just proud of showing their produce in that city.

In half of the ports we visited, the local tourism offices provided free shuttle taking the passengers from the cruise terminals to the city centre. Most of the attractions were accessible on foot safely, and the people we met were helpful and friendly.

When we disembarked, the Terminal (not the cruise company) arranged free shuttle to take the passengers to the nearby train station, from where basically you can go everywhere in Japan. Again they did not accept tips but we just saw many happy faces trying to help the passengers.

We have enjoyed the trip very much and are planning to return in a year's time ( to different ports along the Japanese coast).

An amazing piece of Architecture
Aug 2019
Without a doubt the nicest cruise terminal ever that has grass on top. The whole deck is teak and undulates in an amazing way. Boarding and disembarkation was seamless. Love this cruise terminal.
