Cosmo World is a nice amusement park with the kiddie rides on the mainland and the adult rides on the man-made island. The kids would surely have a blast because there is also a village made specifically for them. You have to cross the bridge to get to the adult section of Cosmo World. We tried the log ride and the coaster which dives into a pool of water, looks are deceiving. While on "Vanish", the diving coaster, I discovered that I was claustrophobic. As soon as the metal shoulder bars came down I was locked in a position where I couldn't move. The fact that there was very little leg room aggravated my phobia. This feeling of not being able to move did a number on me. My gf and I both agreed that the foam around the head bar did not help. There is a lot of head banging throughout the ride. We did not have time to get on the iconic ferris wheel as we had to catch the Access Narita Bus into Narita Airport.

Conveniently located next to Yokohama World Porter, Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu, Cup Noodle Museum, and Queen's Square Yokohama in the Minato Mirai area. The ferris wheel is definitely something you should ride and get a rewarding view of Yokohama. I rode the wheel once when I was a kid and came nearly 30 years afterward with my gf.

It is located right in the middle of Minato Mirai 21 and the kids had a good time there. The rollercoaster was awesome but too short a ride. Not to mention you had to pay for every ride. There was no all day pass at this place. You could get a little bit of discount by buying bulk coupons. Also usually we will win some prizes playing the amusement games but this time we did not. Just not our lucky day I guess. Not a bad place to have some fun but it will cost you.

If you do not have kids, do not waste your time. Nothing else to say. Go for Disney, this is just a local small park with silly stuff for kids.

If you are looking for an amusement park that has no entrance fee, this is a must try.
The fee is per ride but they also have a ride all you can or combo.
Plus, if you come in a group, you can receive discount like buy 2 take 2, buy 3, take 1 tickets per ride. I'm just not sure if it is available on day tour coz we visit there at 6 PM onward.
If you are also an anime action figure collector, they have wide varieties which you can try like One Piece and dragon ball.

Really fun and bright, this place is great to visit during the day or night.

Entrance is free. If you want to go on a ride or play at the booths, there is a ticketing line to join on. This place was impressive in my opinion. BF and I rode the giant ferris wheel and had a blast. its a popular family place and couples date spot so do expect a long line for the ferris wheel at least.

Cosmo World is nice place to go for enjoy on your day off.
First, you can feel free to go Cosmo World, because of a price system and a location.
Normally, we need to pay high cost fee to enter these scale of theme parks in Japan. As you know, Tokyo Disney Land® and Hujikyū Highland® etc. However, at Cosmo World, you needn't to pay any fee to enter the park. And also, Cosmo World is taking place in Yokohama. For these reasons, you can go there when you've got extra time around Yokohama. I think it is also brilliant plan to go to Cosmo World after you enjoyed Yokohama touring. Anyway, you don't have to pay entrance fee, so you do not have to be in Cosmo World all of the day.Second, everyone can enjoy at Cosmo World; not only adults, but also children and grandparents.
This theme park is divided in three zones: Wonder Amuse Zone, Burano Street Zone and Kids Carnival Zone. In Wonder Amuse Zone, you can enjoy some variety of roller coasters. Especially, a roller coaster called "Diving coaster: VANISH" is quite fantastic. It's diving in a hole in a pound, then, water around the pound is going to splash out! It's tremendous. At the middle of the park, children can enjoy some lovely attractions like a merry-go-around in a Kids Carnival Zone. Burano Street Zone is located on the other side of Wonder Amuse Zone. There is crowded by families, a group of friends and couples. However, I've never felt bad with the crowd. Moreover, everybody are laughing, smiling; I thought even the crowd makes people good mode. After you enjoyed the theme park, I recommend you to visit an amusement arcade in the middle of the park. In that area, there is a lot of arcade games (FYI; it's called 'game centre' in Japan). Such as racing competition games, crane games, casino games, etc. So you can make your children more happier by catching some cute items, or may be you can have some fun with yourself. And also, there is a taking kawaii photo machine which is called 'puricura'. That is an extremely popular machine (game) in Japan, and it's really fantastic way to save your memories of the day. It is true that Tokyo Disney Resort® is much bigger and famous, but the size is not so important, I think. If you went to Tokyo Disney Resort®, you would not be able to look around Tokyo. It's probably okay if you were Disney-lover, but I don't recommend you to waste your time in a long queue. Are you 'dreaming' about the day of queuing? For these reasons, I strongly believe that Cosmo World is great to make your day off valuable.

This amusement park is right on the water in Yokohama (part of it is even separated by the water across a bridge). The setting is very nice, especially when the sun starts to set and all the lights come on. One good thing about Cosmo World is that there is no admission fee to get into the park. So you can get up close and decide what you want to do before you have invested anything (or just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere for free). The rides each cost a certain amount and you can pay per ride, or they have value options for riding multiple rides (the one we bought was something along the lines of 2000 yen gave you 2800 yen worth of rides). Sadly, Diving Coaster: Vanish was closed when we tried to ride it (it was open when we got there, no idea why they closed it). They do have a fun shooting game, a cool (no pun intended) ice house, a spinning wild mouse coaster, and an absolutely humongous ferris wheel, among assorted other flat rides. Oddly, there were parts of this park that seemed fresh and clean and parts that definitely needed some TLC (Vanish being one - though I am guessing it is only cosmetic). Considering you have nothing to lose even if you don't decide to ride anything, I would definitely recommend giving this a visit if you are in the area. The Queen's Square area just around it is also a great place to visit. Not far outside of Tokyo, easy to get to (the local subway station lets out inside the Queen's Square mall, and just outside of the mall is Cosmo World), and a more relaxed pace than the frenzy of Tokyo.
