Fabulous collection of dolls from every part of the world for all ages. There is a large Sylvanian collection which is popular with children. My onlycomplaint is that most of the information is in Japanese.

We took my six year old daughter, thinking she would love the museum and we would enjoy watching her explore. In short order, my husband and I were completely engrossed in the exhibits. There are so many exquisite examples of dolls from 140 different countries and they give a real sense of the diverse flavor of the cultural identity of... More

This museum was awesome! An extensive collection of dolls from all over the world and from many eras. My burly husband even enjoyed it. You can take pictures inside. There's also a display of how dolls are made, and you can touch and feel some of the pieces which was really neat. Take your time through this wonderful museum. We... More

The collection of dolls expressed social history through ages, and I just loved it! Dolls museums are rather rare, so it was a special experience to me as a doll- collector. There was also an exhibition of modern dolls made of leather, pigskin actually, that was great. Kyoko Kawai, one of the doll-makers, guided me. I am happy that I... More

I found it by chance and I decided to spend sometime in it... it turned to be pretty interesting to watch so many kinds of dolls from all over the world and see the differences... There is also a room full of gacha-gacha (capsule machines).

The location is not so easy to find. And actually there's no special theme aside from dolls. The have dolls from around the world, and dolls from every area in Japan, but no specific classification. And it's a bit disappointing as we couldn't find the hierarchical Japanese dolls (don't remember the name). The only plus point for us is the... More
