Our family of four (two boys ages 5 and 7) decided to ride from the red brick building to Yamashita Park and back. There's not a round-trip plan; we bought one way tickets twice (and enjoyed walking around the park before the return trip). Was simple, fun, well-marked, comfortable and affordable. If you have JAF (or maybe even AAA or... More

This is a boat shuttle service between Yamashita Park and the Bayquarter Building at Yokhama station. It is just a 15 minute trip, but well worth it, especially in the evening, when you can see the skyline of Yokohama well. It is basically some kind of public transportation, so not expensive. Even on rainy days it is worth to take... More

On a sunny day, this is a great way to see the port of Yokohama from the water. There are four stops on the route; 2F of Takashimaya or East Exit of Yokohama Station, Porta side; MM21; Red Brick Warehouse; Yamashita Park. Single entry is around 700yen but, you can get an all day unlimited pass for 1,000yen. This was... More

Sea bass was a fun way to get back to our hotel (intercontinental) after coming back to the Yokohama Station. Nice views of the harbor area. Further bonus was we walked through the Sugo department store as you can get access from 2nd floor to the port tickets stand. The Sugo department store ground floor is a huge gourmet food... More

If you would like to see Yokoma Harbor front from different perspective, this is a gray oppurtunitie to do so! You take the sea bass from Yokohama station Higashiguchi see bass terminal for about 39 min ride to Daisanbashi, where you land very close to world cleanest China town " Yokohama Chukagai" via very interesting view from water side! We... More

There's a stop right outside intercontinental (called MM21), and we had a fun time going to Yokohama station and shopping at SOGO (really great shopping!). It costs 420 yen one-way, and since it costs 1500 yen via a taxi to the same place, it's good value upto 3 people travelling. The staff were friendly, and the view is quite nice.... More

We caught this boat from just outside the Inter-Continental Grand where we were staying. It is a lovely way to get to and from downtown Yokohama. We caught it to the pier near Motomachi and then back from there to the restored brick warehouses. Recommended and much more fun than the subway.

We needed to travel from Yokohama rail station to our hotel, the Intercontinental on the Bay. We decided to go via Seabass instead of dragging our heavy luggage on and off more trains and then having to walk. What a great idea it was. Shame our hotel was at the first stop around the Bay as I would have liked... More

The Seabass only has a few stops, but one of them happens to be right out the back door of the InterContinental (where I live) and another happens to be the Bay Quarter, where I go to dinner regularly. Great view. Easy way to get around. InterContinental straight to the Bay Quarter with no stops and they take your Suica/Pasmo... More

Yokohama is a port city, so it's nice to see the city from the water. Seabass is a great alternative to cruises. You can enjoy the view of Yokohama on a budget. The wharf at Yokohama station is a little hard to find. It is accessible from the 2nd floor of Sogo department store. They have two routes - direct... More
